She still didn’t feel ready.

After having a coffee with Peggy and Helena, Bette tried to contact Tina through the secretary but they told her she was busy so she gave up and slowly walked back to the subway stop to go home.

Just as Bette was going up to her luxurious apartment she noticed Tina in front of her front door sitting on the floor on the soft antique-style burgundy carpet.

Tina immediately looked up, her eyes tired and worried.

”hey…” Bette managed to say shocked as Tina stood up wrapped in her coat.

”sorry, I thought you were already here when I got here.”

”I had coffee with Helena…sorry, you could have called.”

Tina nodded ”well, I can leave anyway…”

”no, come in.” Bette said quickly ”I think there’s something to talk about right?”

Tina nodded again and came in behind Bette.

”do you want something to drink…” Bette threw her keys on the counter and took off her coat ”I have some brandy…”

”do you drink brandy? really?”

Bette sighed heavily sketching a smile ”I used to drink brandy… a long time ago, there must have been a few bottles left that were given to me” Bette’s eyebrow rose mischievously.

Tina took off her jacket annoyed ”another thing I didn’t know about you.” she whispered

”what?”

”nothing.”

”Tina..”

”nothing really Bette..” Tina sat on the couch with her head in her hands ”I think there’s a problem here, or more than one.”

Bette put the tea on and took the expensive bottle of brandy from the small cabinet and poured some into a small glass, handing it to Tina ”well, if you want it, or you’ll accept my herbal tea…” Bette joked a little and Tina got annoyed at that point

”is it really all that easy for you Bette? just undoing things as if nothing had happened!” Tina’s tone was sharp as she watched the brunette go back to the stove ”do you want to watch me?”

”what’s easy Tina, huh? do you think it’s easy for me? well it’s not! I was trying to be nice to try to get to a civil conversation but I don’t think we’ll get there.. obviously I was apologizing for what I said three days ago, for the night of the dinner with the others. I was terrible.”
