Let It Happen – Chapter XIV
As they walked, Logan had picked up a couple of champagne flutes for them, and offered one to Tina as they sat.
He offered a silent toast, and clinked his glass on hers.
“You’re looking well Tina, I’m glad,” he started.
“So are you Logan,” she responded, then looked around the sumptuous appointments of the penthouse, and back again at him, “You’ve clearly done very well. Congratulations.”
“Hah… long story, but maybe not so well lately,” he smiled, ruefully.
They fell silent.
Logan pointed his head towards Bette, who was at the center of a circle of admiring men and women, and was now being approached by Logan’s wife.
“So… she your girlfriend?,” he asked.
“Yeah… is that a problem?” Tina asked, head tilted to the side.
Logan smiled, shook his head, “Only for you, if you don’t mind all the attention that I suspect she tends to attract wherever she goes,” he paused, as they observed Bette, and now, Logan’s wife, who was clearly trying to get the brunette’s attention. “From men AND women…”
Tina smiled, and nodded, “Yeah she does have an appeal…”
Logan snorted, “An appeal? How about sex appeal?”
Tina raised her eyebrows.
“No offense, of course,” Logan raised his hands.
He continued, “And you have turned out to be a very beautiful woman, yourself, Tina.” He shook his head. “Seeing the two of you together feels like a bomb going off.”
He shrugged his shoulders, “Am I wrong? Just saying… when you both got off the elevator, standing under the chandelier, every man here could feel the sexual energy of the place just shoot up.”
He smiled, then playfully nudged Tina on the shoulder, “I think I’ll be inviting you ladies over all the time … I’m pretty sure that’s what Melanie has in mind already,” he said, nodding in his wife’s direction, who had successfully engaged Bette in a conversation. Her hands were reaching out to touch Bette’s arms, shoulders, and hands from time to time, as they spoke.
“You seem pretty relaxed about it,” he remarked to Tina.
“Yeah, I’m not worried about Bette,” she responded, taking a drink from the champagne flute. “At least, not in that sense. She’s been provoked lots of times in the time we’ve been here in New York,” remembering the episode with Sarah.

Please correct (for future writing) the use of the word every for
the correct word….ever! This error pops up frequently in your
otherwise wonderful stories.
For example….this page…in the question…”does it every bother you…”
instead of the correct…”does it ever bother you”.
