    Life: Altered 03.70 ~*~ Damned ~*~ Finale Part 1

“I saw this band you might like the
other day Quin.  While we were in Seattle.”  Cassandra said, digging into her purse and
finding the name.  “6Gig?”  Quin took the slip of paper, and nodded.

“I saw them at OPT once.”  Quin said and Alice’s eyebrows shot up.  Was there a band she didn’t know?

“I’ve never heard of OPT.”  Alice said, Tina shrugged and Quin smiled,

“Old Port Tavern.  It’s in Maine.  I was there when I ran away.  I saw Godsmack before they were big.  Just awesome.”  Quin winked at Tina, who wondered why it was
that Quin never did seem to open up about herself.  Mysterious woman.

“You told Bette you were going to
tell her who ‘H’ was?”  Tina asked, and
Marina came over, tugging a bored Jenny with her.  Jenny was letting her lead her around, her
arms at her side, bored and listless.  A
pouting expression on her face as Marina was in love with the artwork.

“I did?  I don’t remember that.”  Quin said with a smile, waving to Helena and
she went over to them, smiling at each one of the women.  Soft black curls bouncing as she walked.

“Quin did you pick the play list?  I swear I’ve never heard such pop and guitars
at a gallery opening.”  Helena said,
raising her glass to the group.
“Finally, a place where Hamilton’s work looks as is should.”  Quin dropped her head, and shook it.  Alice laughed, and Tina nudged Cassandra.

“You owe me 50 bucks.”  Tina said and Helena looked at Quin with a
    surprised smile.

“You know mother hates it that
anyone knows it’s Ham’s stuff.  Why did
    you…”

“Because I am done with hiding.  We are who we are.  We accept that and we’ll all be a much
happier lot for it.  I see Eden over
there, I’m going over to see her.  Quin,
are you playing tonight?  I see your
equipment over there.”  Quin looked over
    at the stage and shrugged.

“I don’t know.  Perhaps I’ll keep it a secret….”  Quin shot at her as she walked away,
Cassandra fishing into her pockets for the money she owed Tina.

“What did you two bet on?”  Alice asked, quieter than usual.  She was just deep in thought about
everything, about her life, and how things were about to change for her and
    Quin in the next week.
