Life: Altered 03.70 ~*~ Damned ~*~ Finale Part 1
Ro
Navarro
Daisy read it twice, her jaw set and
she fought back the tears, wanting to know where she was. Why she hadn’t fought
for what she thought was so great.
Why? Why Ro? Daisy let the letter fluttered to the floor
and she walked out of the gallery, sobbing hard.
~*~*~*~*~*
“I’ll go get her.” Cassandra said and Alice put a hand to her
arm, tears in Alice’s eyes.
“Let me?” Alice asked, swallowing back the tears and
Cassandra nodded, and Alice quickly kissed Quin and dashed off to find Daisy.
She hit the street, looking around
and seeing Daisy leaning up against a brick wall. Her eyes looking up at the starless sky. What was she looking for there? Answers?
“What did she have to say?” Alice asked, as she walked to her
daughter. Daisy wiped away a tear,
shaking her head.
“Nothing important.” Daisy said, her voice shaking so hard that
she sounded like a child. The child that
Alice had never known.
“Of course.” Alice said, assuming the same pose as Daisy,
Daisy looked over at her, then away again.
“She just said that she wished I’d
had the balls to stick with her. I gave
up on her, I gave up on us.” Daisy said,
she hung her head and Alice put an arm around her, tugging her closer. She crushed her hair in her hands, feeling
the familiar texture and Alice tried to find the words of wisdom that she knew
she needed to hear right now.
“You thought you were doing the
right thing?” Daisy nodded into Alice’s
shoulder. “Daisy if you hurt the person
you love, more than likely, its not the right thing.” Alice finished.
“Coulda told me that before? I’d have hurt her one way or the other, we
are leaving. Tomorrow morning.” Daisy said, taking a long breath and then
adding. “I’m gonna miss you.” She said, grabbing Alice hard again, nuzzling
into her neck and holding her closer, crushing Alice and Alice felt her sobbing
against her.
“I know…. I know…” Alice said softly, holding her until she
couldn’t cry any more.
~*~*~*~*~*
“Everyone is getting hitched.” Quin said, tossing back a drink and Cassandra
nodded, Quin had the unearthly desire to ask Alice to get married, yet every
time she did. Someone else beat her to
it, she didn’t want it to seem like she wanted to follow the crowd. She loved Alice with a fever that clung to
her, even now after months of being with her she looked at her and it sometimes
felt like it was the first time.

That song was awesome, and I silently hope that Ro was out there somewhere listening to it. Onto the last and final chapter of this amazing fic!
Ro’s letter stung, because there was so much truth behind it. Feel so bad for poor Daisy.
We are losing five of the gang, How will the rest make it. stronger women. thanks bvh
