Marina ”Well…if there’s anything I can do to be of service, let me know. Life is far better for me now than when I had to sell The Planet.”
Ivan ”I don’t know…I uhh…I think her sister, Bette might have somethin’ goin’ on. Organizing this memorial service there, which I’m fine with.
Marina ”Actually…I think Bette may have been listed as the benefactor for Kit in the notes I was given from Manfredi. I don’t recall you having one listed.”
Ivan ”I don’t. I had been tempted to find a buyer for my share of it, but…this changes everything.”
Marina ”Perhaps we can talk sometime. I’m in town and plan on being at The Planet.”
Ivan ”Yeah. Let’s do that.”
Bette’s.
Joyce has already informed an already grieving and busy Bette that indeed she is listed to inherit Kit’s share of The Planet. Bette’s life is cluttered with too much and it has overwhelmed her more than once already today. She is to start her new career soon as the Dean of the California University School of the Arts. She is mourning the loss of Kit, Tina, and her friends. She now faces the reality of inheriting a share of The Planet. She has Shane crashed on her couch in the living room and Carmen doing her best to console Bette as breakfast is being cooked in the kitchen by Lara. This is how Lara gets through everything, Bette thinks.
Shane wakes up, seeing Bette and Carmen, with Carmen holding Angelica, feeding her milk. Shane walks over to Bette, who looks up at her.
Shane ”You slept?”
Bette ”…I can’t.”
Shane leans down, kissing Bette on the forehead.
Shane ”Ya gotta sleep sometime.”
Bette ”No I don’t…I just want food.”
Shane’s nose picks up the smell.
Shane ”What’s cookin’?”
Carmen ”Lara’s making breakfast.”
Lara walks in with plates full of food.
Lara ”Well, more of a brunch actually. We’re all having kind of a late start this morning.”
Carmen ”Having to answer questions all night. Trying to sleep. I’m still exhausted.”
Shane takes one of the plates and hands it to Carmen. Carmen refuses the plate. The pain from the wedding debacle is still there, even with all the grief.
Bette ”Carmen…Shane’s an idiot. Please take the plate.”

so much going on in this chapter I know peggy identified Helena but has bette done the same with kit and tina are they all assumed dead and will there be any survivers pps
