    Kit looked at her husband proudly. She couldn’t have said it better than Sonny had. And while she was boiling wit hanger for her sister being so unreasonable against Tina, she admired the fact that Sonny stayed calm. She turned around and looked back at Bette. Bette looked at Sonny and her sister, than turned

    Kit looked at her husband proudly. She couldn’t have said it better than Sonny had. And while she was boiling wit hanger for her sister being so unreasonable against Tina, she admired the fact that Sonny stayed calm. She turned around and looked back at Bette.

    Bette looked at Sonny and her sister, than turned around and looked at Tina.

    “So it’s y’all against me now. You know what, whatever! Just know that I disagree. And if something bad happens to my father, it’s on you.” And while making that last remark she gave them all a dirty look.

    “He is my father too, Bette.”

    “Whatever Kit. I wonder why you needed this so called family meeting. You guys already knew the outcome. Waste of my time!”

    Bette pushed her chair away, stood up and left the room.

    “What was that?” Tina asked, completely surprised.

    “Don’t know, Kit said with blazing eyes but I do know that my sister tresspassed and she will apologize.”

    Kit stood up, still looking at the door through which Bette disappeared. Sonny held Kit’s hand. He knew that she was furious by now and if he would let her follow Bette things could get ugly.

     

    “What….?” Kit snapped at him.

     

    “I’ll go, you stay here and talk to Tina.”

    Sonny stood up and walked away to look for Bette. He found her in her room. Pacing up and down.

    He tapped on the open door. “Can I come inside?”

    Bette didn’t answer him, so he walked inside the room and closed the door.

    “I didn’t say you could come in.”

    “No, you didn’t. I invited myself. And before you’re going to say something that you’ll regret, hear me out.”

    Sonny walked to the chair in the corner of the room. He sat himself down and asked Bette why she disagreed. The way he talked to her was soothing to her. His deep voice was calm, he never raised it. So it invited her to speak out her mind.

    When she was done, Sonny shook his head comprehensible.

    “I get where you’re coming from Bette. I get it but it is easy for me to say so. Both my parents are still alive. But Bette, you need to support your father, regardless of your opinion. He needs all of us that will give him the strenght to pull through. He’s a sensitive man. He will feel if your support is not real. Sorry if I say it so blunt but it’s the truth. Think about it.”

    4. Fantastic update!

      I am glad that Melvin got through the surgery and will have a good recovery.

      It is important that both the girls have people, friends, family or in case of Tina Mr.Fairbanks around them to support them in their journey in life. Bette is already learning that it is important to communicate with Tina and others. She is insecure, but is taking small steps in the right direction. I understand that it is to early for the girls to share their lives at this, moment, they both have much that they need to overcome and deal with it. They can support each other but also need time for them self.

      This is a wonderful story! And i hope you will update soon.

      It seems that Bette will open your heart completely
      Tina. If talk about the past makes you well, go ahead Bette, otherwise Tina will respect the limit of your partner … more in my opinion, a tasty
      relationship is mutual trust between partners.

      I’ve had a re- read of this great story and two years down the line want to appeal for an update if it is only in the form of an Epilogue!
      Come on, girl brush off the cobwebs from your writing talent and put pen to paper!
      I need to know why I don’t trust Marina!
      I need to know about Big Bertha’s Twin brother!
      I could go on but won’t:-)
