Chapter 25
　
Tina was washing up after dinner when she heard the main door to the apartment open. It could only mean one thing – Bette was back from Chicago. She was just drying her hands before going to investigate when she heard
“BETTE !!! “
Well that confirmed that – Tina walked through to the living room to see Bette picking Angie up and hugging her
“Hello darling – how are you “
“We missed you “
“I missed both of you – where’s your mommy ?”
“Here “ Tina said – Bette turned and smiled at seeing her lover “ You should have called – we would have come and met you “
“I just finished my meetings and took a cab to the airport and jumped on the first flight I could get “
“Welcome home “ Tina said
“Thanks – its great to come home to both of you “
Bette walked across to Tina and kissed her “You need thawing out “ Tina commented
“No arguments – its freezing out there “
“The man on the weather channel said its going to snow soon “
“I wouldn’t be surprised – its snowing in Chicago “
“Is it ?”
“Yes – let me put you down a minute sweetie – I need to get my bags from the hall”
Bette put Angie down and briefly left the room – when she came back she was carrying a black bag
“For my princess “ Bette said putting it on the sofa beside Angie
“What is it ?” Angie asked
“You could look “ Bette suggested – she took Tina’s hand and smiled. Tina looked at her
“She’ll love it “ Bette said. Angie opened the bag and yelped – she pulled the item out. It was a giant teddy bear – about 2 feet high – and it was dressed in a Santa suit.
“I saw it and I just couldn’t resist it for her “ Bette explained
“You and I need a conversation about spoiling her “
“If I want to spoil my daughter I will “ Bette replied quietly winking at Tina. They could have shouted their conversation because Angie was enthralled by her new cuddly toy. She hugged it
