But, after a few seconds, the reality of their surroundings settled into Alice’s mind, and she pulled back from their kiss. “We can’t,” Alice breathed in Lara’s ear, causing a ripple of pleasure to travel through Lara’s body. Knowing that Alice’s words and her desires represented two very different things right now, Lara put her hands gently on Alice’s hips and pushed her backwards so that her back was pressed against the side of the pool.
“Why not?” Lara asked hoarsely, kissing Alice’s neck deeply and pushing her hips firmly against Alice’s. Alice moaned softly in response, as Lara moved her hands down Alice’s body.
“Because,” Alice responded, closing her eyes and breathing heavily as Lara’s hands glided over her breasts. “Someone might come out and see us,” she finished unconvincingly, as she wrapped her arms around Lara’s waist and drew her closer. She knew what they were doing was risky, since all their friends were just a few feet away, and any of them could walk outside right now and discover them. But, her desire for Lara was quickly overpowering every other thought in her head.
“I don’t care,” Lara whispered, sliding her hand slowly down Alice’s flat stomach and between her legs, causing the blonde to gasp with pleasure and anticipation. Suddenly, Alice didn’t care, either. Feeling Alice’s warmth even through the water gave Lara an even more intense desire to show Alice how much she wanted her.
“Ahem!” a voice loudly interjected itself into Alice and Lara’s embrace, causing them to pull away from each other in surprise. Looking across the pool, they saw Kit shaking her head and smiling at them. “Sorry to interrupt again, ladies, but I thought you should know that Shane and Jenny are on their way back out, and I think Bette and Tina are going to join you all for a swim.”
“Oh, ok. Thanks for the warning, Kit,” Alice responded shyly, blushing fiercely.
“Yeah, thanks,” Lara added abashedly, swimming away from Alice to the other side of the pool as Shane, Jenny, Bette, and Tina walked out of the house together, took off their clothes, and dove into the water. She glanced back once more at Alice, and they exchanged a look full of longing mixed with frustration before they rejoined their friends’ party.

ah, there you are again! Great update. I think the thing I like most about your writing is how you take the characters we know and flesh them out, in the context we know from the show. Without having any external angst, you manage to move the characters along nicely, which is a nice alternative to the standard fare! Again, your dialogue, pace and tension are spot on. Thanks for continuing the story….as you surely know by now, I’ll be reading as long as you post!
Happy dance! Love the update because I must admit I’ve been checking. As always, your pacing and tension (gawd! but it’s so well done!) and truth to the characters as we know them makes for excellent reading. Of course, I am looking forward to ‘the talk’ and hope nothing interrupts them–but if it did you’d be handling it in a realistic way so carry on with how your creativity is taking you. When is Showtime hiring you as Chief Lace Storyline Specialist?

I have been waiting for this for ages… and I guess I’ll accept some of the blame if you put another chapter up quickly! Haha I wont write anymore fics so you dont get distracted :P I’m seriously hooked.
As usual, I love it. The tension makes me want to take a spatula to my eye, but other than that I’m doing just fine. That was my favorite chapter yet! Keep up the awesome work. No pressure ;)

I just read all 7 chapters! I really like the way you describe the feelings from Lara’s and Alice’s perspective. It’s very well written! Btw, you’re a real tease…every time they get close, someone interrupts (very very frustrating ;) ).
