“Maybe this is her version of lowkey” Carmen shrugged as she watched Kit adjust the cat ears sitting on her head before twisting her body to fix her tail.

“Bette must be going nuts. You know she hates crowds-girl! What are you wearing?”

Kit laughed as she looked Shane up and down eyeing the brunette’s pink skinny jeans and white t-shirt/pink blazer combo. She even wore a pair of white and pink converse sneakers but what really got to Kit were the pink and white feathers that lined the edge of the blazer and the large plastic beak that had been pushed to the top of Shane’s head.

“What?” Shane asked as she innocently looked down at her ensemble, gripping the lapels of her blazer and holding it open.

Amused, Kit pursed her lips together. “You’re very .. pink”

An obvious observation, but one that needed to be said. Shane hated pink and her ten year old self had once even said she wouldn’t be caught dead in the color but there she was. The brunette couldn’t help but roll her eyes when she realized where Kit’s humor came from, affection taking over her expression as she couldn’t help but smile.

“I know, isn’t she cute?” Carmen excitedly piped in before Shane could answer, cuddling up to the brunette and placing a hand on her stomach.

Carmen wore an outfit similar to Shane’s more in color than anything else. Instead of jeans and a blazer, she wore a white leotard with a pink tutu lined with feathers that complimented both colors and a pair of hot pink heels that strapped around her ankles. Her beak was hanging around her neck by a thin elastic band.

“I didn’t think she’d go for it when I told her my costume idea but I’m so glad she did” Carmen continued as she beamed up at the brunette who slipped an arm around her waist.

Shane smirked and gently tapped her forehead against Carmen’s, “You owe me big”

“For this and for what you said earlier?” Carmen’s smile spread wide, a mischievous gleam in her brown eyes. “Oh you better believe it”

With that it was like they were lost in their own little world and sealed a deep kiss to prove it.
