Bette’s glance at Tina was filled with anxiety but Tina smiled back at her and moved closer to her on a sofa. “Don’t worry, baby,” she whispered. “I trust all our friends, even Alice, the blabbermouth, that your presence in this world will stay a mystery. No one will ever know…”

“Well, it’s not our friends I worry about,” Bette whispered back. “It’s Helena. If she knows something, she won’t keep it to herself, especially if she hopes to steal you away from me.”

“Helena can try all she wants but she can never have me,” Tina smiled. “I love you…I’m in love with you. All I want is you. You have nothing to worry, baby.”

Bette leaned closer and pressed her lips to Tina’s. It was gentle at first but soon turned into heated exchange as they both moaned in unison.

“Oh my god, gross,” Alice exclaimed with exaggerated sigh. “Either stop or get a room.”

“We can’t,” Bette grinned, holding Tina’s hand in her. “We haven’t seen each other for so long.”

Dana shook her head, “There was a time when you couldn’t keep your hands off of me, Alice. And look at you now.”

Alice blushed slightly, “Oh honey, I still can’t and as soon as this meeting is over and we get home, I will show you just how much I missed you.”

Kit fanned herself with a napkin and rolled her eyes, “It’s getting hot in here or what? Since I’m the only single lady in here, y’all just want me to leave so you can go ahead with your love feast?”

“Sorry, Kit,” Bette said humbly. “We’ll behave.”

“Oh, I’m just kidding, baby sis,” Kit laughed. “I’m so glad to see you all well and happy, nothing else matters.”

Alice took control over the conversation once again, as she looked in her notebook, “Where was I? Oh yes, plan A…me…undercover…professor Kroll’s lab. I’ll try to find out what they know and see if I can misdirect them. All we need is to keep everyone in the dark until October…”

“Wait, what’s happening in October?” Dana asked with a frown.

“October 19 is when the portal opens again and if I’m right, that’s the last time it will be open, based on my cosmic calculations.”
