Out of Closet (TiBette time-travel romance), Ch. 68, Finale part 4A
“Bette, could you grab the blender as well?” Alice asked. “I have several recipes for all kinds of margaritas. I’m in a mood to try them all.”
After they made the first round of drinks and went back to the living room, Alice rummaged through her enormous bag and took out a book that looked somewhat familiar to Tina.
“Alice, is that…the history book Franklin found when he did my miniature restoration?” Tina asked.
“Yep,” Alice nodded. “It occurred to me that things had been changing in the past and the future because of our time travels, so I wanted to revisit some of the sources we found before, to see if there’s anything we missed, anything else that changed…I don’t know…” she shrugged. “Anything to do to keep me sane and occupied.”
“Anything new?” Bette asked curiously.
“I haven’t looked yet. I got it from the library this morning and have been carrying it around ever since.”
Tina flipped the pages over to the article about the Porter family and paused over a page, just staring at it.
“What is it, T? You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” Bette asked with worry.
“This is new,” Alice whistled when she glanced at the image that Tina was looking at. “Do you remember what was there before?”
“Yes,’ Tina nodded. “I do remember. There was a photo of the miniature and the painting of the house that Elizabeth did for her sister Katie.”
“What is it?” Bette asked.
Alice sighed, “Since I went to the past and brought you back with me, things have been changing. You know…Christina didn’t die; story about your disappearance changed…some other things. Now, here’s this.” Alice turned the book around to show Bette and she found herself staring at her own face. It was more life-like than the miniature and with more likeness. It looked like a pencil sketch but Bette’s resemblance was easily recognizable, if anyone would care to compare.
“Oh my God,” Bette whispered and slowly sat down on the sofa. She grubbed the pitcher and filled up her glass with the tequila mix. She downed half of the glass as she regarded the sketch of herself. “This is so…like me. It’s like looking in a mirror. How…who…” she finished her tequila and poured some more.

Thank you for the chapter!
We don’t have much of Helena and Candace in this chapter, and i guess it’s not a bad thing.
I’m also with Bette and Tina and want to know what the third option :)
Waiting for the next.
This is not looking good for Bette and Tina. It looks like someone has been paid off to get the FBI involved. They are not going to buy into some time travel story or UFOs or visiting aliens no matter who is swearing its true. As the long ago character Joe Friday use to say “Just the facts please”.
Option 3 – Get Helena over just for the portal to open and shove her in. Hopefully it will close and never open again.
There is no evidence a portal exist. To the average person, it seems like a fairy tale. To true law enforcement who are doing their jobs, it will as well.
Excellent story…. let’s see how this turns out… write when you can. Thanks for the update

Thanks for another chapter to this fascinating story. Looking forward to seeing how it all ends up. Can’t wait to hear what option 3 is!
