    “I honestly don’t know, Franklin,” Bette sounded sincere. “I’m pretty sure it’s some mistake. Thank you for telling me.” She hung up and looked at Tina with fear in her eyes. Tina pulled her into a hug, “What did he say?” “The FBI was there, asking questions about me, mainly how long he knows me,

    “I honestly don’t know, Franklin,” Bette sounded sincere. “I’m pretty sure it’s some mistake. Thank you for telling me.”

    She hung up and looked at Tina with fear in her eyes. Tina pulled her into a hug, “What did he say?”

    “The FBI was there, asking questions about me, mainly how long he knows me, why did he hired me and my three months vacation in Geneva,” Bette replied, shaking in Tina’s arms. Tina took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment, willing herself to stay calm for Bette’s sake. “They also took his copy of the Orange County History.”

    “Shit,” Tina chewed on her lower lip pensively. “I’m calling Alice. I hope her ex at the American Airlines can help us.”

    Bette nodded into Tina’s hair, clinging to her for a moment. They looked into each other eyes and Tina smiled, “It’s going to be okay, baby. We have each other and we are going to be okay.”

    Bette smiled back and nodded, “Let’s call Alice.”

    Alice answered on the first ring and got very excited at the thought that something was finally happening. She assured them that she will call Gina right away and then will come over to formulate a plan. “Nothing we can do about the History book now, so lets hope they haven’t read it. I’ll be at your place in a jiffy.”

    “What now?” Tina asked as they settled on the sofa after ending the call.

    “Before we were so rudely interrupted, you had a proposal…” Bette replied.

    “Oh yes, I was going to suggest we stay home and…” the loud knocking on the door interrupted her once again and they both groaned.

    “Maybe it’s Alice,” Bette suggested and Tina laughed as she shook her head. “I don’t think so, unless she’s a superwoman. When we spoke she was at the Planet, getting mochas for her and Dana.”

    Tina opened the door and froze at the site of the similarly dressed couple, man and a woman. They both were wearing black suits and white shirts, though a woman’s suit was better tailored to accentuate her figure. The woman removed her sunglasses and said calmly, “I’m Agent McKinnon and this is my partner, Agent Johnson. We are with the FBI.”

      We don’t have much of Helena and Candace in this chapter, and i guess it’s not a bad thing.

      I’m also with Bette and Tina and want to know what the third option :)

      Waiting for the next.

    2. This is not looking good for Bette and Tina. It looks like someone has been paid off to get the FBI involved. They are not going to buy into some time travel story or UFOs or visiting aliens no matter who is swearing its true. As the long ago character Joe Friday use to say “Just the facts please”.

      Option 3 – Get Helena over just for the portal to open and shove her in. Hopefully it will close and never open again.
      There is no evidence a portal exist. To the average person, it seems like a fairy tale. To true law enforcement who are doing their jobs, it will as well.
      Excellent story…. let’s see how this turns out… write when you can. Thanks for the update
