Out of Closet (TiBette time-travel romance), Ch. 68, Finale part 4A

“Are you Bette Porter?” he asked and Alice glanced at Tina before answering. Tina rolled her eyes and Alice passed by the agents and stood next to her friend. “Who’s asking?”

Both agents went through the motions of showing their badges and the male agent asked again, “Are you Bette Porter?”

Agent McKinnon pulled out a photo and shook her head. Tina couldn’t see what it was but she assumed they had Bette’s picture and they knew how she looked like.

“Nope,” Alice replied cheerfully. She glanced at Tina again and added, “I’m a friend and I’m here to work on Tina’s documentary. Deadline is approaching so no time to waste. Bette’s probably out schmoozing some art donors, right, Tee?”

Tina nodded vigorously, “Yes, definitely…schmoozing…donors. I will let her know you stopped by.”

Agent McKinnon gave her a lopsided smile and nodded. She took a business card out of her badge cover and handed it to Tina. “Please ask Miss Porter to call us as soon as she gets back. It is imperative that we talk to her.” She leaned closer to Tina and spoke softly, “You both can call me directly.” She winked and turned around, signaling her partner to follow. Agent Johnson stared at Tina and Alice for a moment and then sighed, going after the female agent.

As soon as their car disappeared around the corner, Tina exhaled and shook her head. “Oh my God, Alice. What are we going to do?”

They went inside and joined Bette in the kitchen. She looked at them curiously as Tina sat down slowly, seemingly in shock. “What’s going on, Alice?”

“The FBI was outside, Tina freaked out but I was as cool as a cucumber.”

“Oh no,’’ Bette sat down next to Tina and took her hand. “What happened?”

“They wanted you for questioning,” Alice shrugged. “We told them you were not home and bought us some time.”

“They said you were a suspect in drug trafficking, which is weird. Either they are not aware of the real situation, or they are lying. Either way they wouldn’t just leave,” Tina paused. “The female agent might be able to help because I think she’s a lesbian.”

    1. Thank you for the chapter!

We don’t have much of Helena and Candace in this chapter, and i guess it’s not a bad thing.

I’m also with Bette and Tina and want to know what the third option :)

      Waiting for the next.

    2. This is not looking good for Bette and Tina. It looks like someone has been paid off to get the FBI involved. They are not going to buy into some time travel story or UFOs or visiting aliens no matter who is swearing its true. As the long ago character Joe Friday use to say “Just the facts please”.

Option 3 – Get Helena over just for the portal to open and shove her in. Hopefully it will close and never open again.
There is no evidence a portal exist. To the average person, it seems like a fairy tale. To true law enforcement who are doing their jobs, it will as well.
Excellent story…. let’s see how this turns out… write when you can. Thanks for the update
