Out of Closet (TiBette time-travel romance), Ch. 68, Finale part 4A
Alice’s face lighten up, “You got that too? Great, my gaydar is still working then. We can definitely use that to our advantage. She gave Tina a business card with her personal number, right?”
“Right,” Tina nodded. “She told me to call her directly.”
“Should I worry?” Bette smiled. Tina smiled back but Alice was the one who replied. “Nah, she was cute in a gentle butch kind of way but she has nothing on you, Porter.”
“So, do you have a new plan, Alice?” Bette asked.
“I’m thinking, I’m thinking. The FBI definitely complicates things,” Alice frowned and glanced at her iPhone. “Guys, today is Friday, the 13th. Spooky, isn’t it?”
“You know what else is spooky?” Tina asked. “The portal is going to be open one last time in just six days.”
Alice scratched her head, “Well, I guess you both can always go back to the past. No FBI can find you there.”
“What an excellent plan, Alice,” Tina shook her head. “What could possibly go wrong with that?”
“Are you suggesting that Tina and I jump through the portal to never come back?” Bette asked skeptically.
“Just brainstorming here,” Alice shrugged.
“I don’t think going back to the past is an option. Keep brainstorming.”
Alice nodded and began pacing, sipping her mocha. Tina went into the kitchen to make them some coffee as well. When she returned, Alice finally stopped pacing and was standing by the window. Both Tina and Bette looked at her expectantly.
“As I see it,” Alice said pensively, “We only have three options. First option, we deny everything.”
“But Al, you already told professor Kroll that you went to the past using the time portal,” Tina reminded her.
“Well, yeah, but I can sell myself as a crazy lady,” Alice winked and chuckled, “Wouldn’t be the first time.”
“Okay, what is the second option?” Bette asked.
“You and Tina go into some sort of witness protection program but without the FBI involvement.”
“That’s a possibility. We can move somewhere else, change names and become someone else…” Tina said, embracing herself, terrified at what would happen if the FBI would take Bette away. “I don’t want you to become some guinea-pig in the government experiment?”
“Tina, no…I won’t run, I won’t hide. I don’t want to live the rest of our life as fugitives.”

Thank you for the chapter!
We don’t have much of Helena and Candace in this chapter, and i guess it’s not a bad thing.
I’m also with Bette and Tina and want to know what the third option :)
Waiting for the next.
This is not looking good for Bette and Tina. It looks like someone has been paid off to get the FBI involved. They are not going to buy into some time travel story or UFOs or visiting aliens no matter who is swearing its true. As the long ago character Joe Friday use to say “Just the facts please”.
Option 3 – Get Helena over just for the portal to open and shove her in. Hopefully it will close and never open again.
There is no evidence a portal exist. To the average person, it seems like a fairy tale. To true law enforcement who are doing their jobs, it will as well.
Excellent story…. let’s see how this turns out… write when you can. Thanks for the update
