    Author Notes: Hello everyone! *waves* Here is a 'Real Tibette' story. (I often wish I hadn't called this series 'Real Tibette' - it sounds so arrogant, but it came from not recognising the GQ divorce etc.). Anyway, ten months have passed since we last saw the gang. You might remember that Alice had moved to NYC at the end of the last story. I hope you enjoy it. I'm posting it early because Laurel's exhibition will take all our attention next week, lol.     Summary:
    The Porter-Kennard-Benson head to Vermont for a traditional Thanksgiving by the lake. But maybe they're not the only ones enjoying the cabin....

    Angie stopped, and laughed at something.

    ‘What?’ asked Tina.

    ‘It’s just . . . Why does everyone always say “more”? “More than friends.” Like, why isn’t that the highest thing already?’

    Angie stared at Tina, searchingly, then looked away again.

    ‘I don’t know if you can understand,’ she said, not harshly. ‘I mean, you and Mom just fell in love and that was that, right?’

    Tina had no idea what to say to that. But she was glad she was leaning against something when Angie said it.

    At the cabin – the real one, as Bette now thought of it – Ben got out of the Lexus and didn’t wait for his mother before skipping up the steps to the pitch-dark veranda.

    ‘Did you forget your phone?’ Bette called.

    ‘No?’

    ‘Well, then put it on!’

    Bette got hers out of her pocket and flipped on the flashlight, now that she had the hang of it. Glancing up, she saw Ben’s was now on too.

    She took a deep breath. In all the years they’d been coming here, this was the first time she’d ever felt weirded out. There might be wild animals in the basement, she reminded herself. But that wasn’t it. It was more personal. Something to do with what this place meant.

    ‘It’s probably in her bed,’ Ben said, leaning against the door jamb with his light pointing up at his face. His long, thick eyelashes like huge, fluttery spiders.

    ‘Don’t point that at yourself,’ Bette muttered.

    Ben pulled a silly face. Bette laughed. And then they were in.

    ‘Nik’s much better at explaining it,’ Angie said, ‘but basically we think we gave in to amatonormativity, when really we have more of an alterous thing. I mean, we could say we’re poly, and I’m definitely pan, and we still sleep together sometimes, but I think all that other stuff’s gone. So it’s simpler now.’

    Tina listened, watching Solly scampering around, chasing Ringo’s butt.

    ‘So, you aren’t attracted to Nik?’ she asked.

    Angie stared at her. ‘You mean sexually, don’t you?’

    Tina blinked. ‘What other way is there?’

    A slow smile broke out on Angie’s face. Then she started to laugh. Tina smiled too, but it was out of confusion, because Angie was genuinely cracked up now.

      Tibette has so perfectly fit themselves into each other & draw such strength from one another.

      And Angie, trying her hardest to find the right fit & balance in her life & love. Hopefully we’ll get to read in the not to distant future who she meets & really falls in love with.

      Overall, a gem & this will join all your other endeavours as my all,time favorites.
