Her love letters and thoughtful emails to Bette often made the brunette cry, Tina had a gift of penmanship that could express her thoughts beautifully and Bette treasured each one.
Meeting Bette, Tina was in awe of the eloquent, elegant and sophisticated brunette, who seemed to see poetry in everything, even in the way light moved across an empty room or a field of flowers dancing in the wind. Art was emotion to Bette, and she was endlessly fascinated by the way pictures or sculptures could evoke passionate feelings in the viewer.
But Bette had never downplayed Tina’s remarks, not even once. If anything, Tina’s words seemed to carry great weight with Bette, from the first comment she made the night they met. Bette would look back at the art or photograph and try to see it the way Tina did. Often, she would look back at Tina and smile, nodding her head and smiling, thanking her for giving her another way to view the piece.
Tina realized it had been some time since she had written a love letter or spicy note for Bette, again something she did frequently in the past that had fallen away over time. She closed her eyes as Bette turned her face to nuzzle her neck, loving the intimacy and the feel of her skin, the smell of her.
“Tell me…” Bette prompted, sensing Tina’s thoughts had drifted to something else.
“Well… the couple, the two women dancing…”
“How could you tell they were two women?” Bette asked sincerely, stopping her neck nuzzling to ask and reaching for the wine to take a sip before holding it for Tina to have some as well.
“A man and a woman don’t move together like that, trust me Babe. I tried with every fiber of my being to forget the way your body moved with mine when I was with Henry and I couldn’t. You and I? We move as one, you react, and my body follows, in sync… with Henry it was never, ever that fluid…”
“Fluid? As in wet?”
Tina laughed. “Yes and no. Yes, Henry never made me as wet as you make me and no, fluid as in seamless. We move together. United. Whole… sometimes I can’t tell where you begin and I end…”

Loved the detail of your writing describing the three sculptures.

OK, OKay, back to the chptr….WhooHooo it’s finally time for the Opening but even more so the showdown with Eric in Chicago!!!! Can’t wait to see how Tibette will handle his butt!! Afterall, Tina promised Bette she would come up with a plan

Thank you for Bette’s apology! Really heartfelt. Both learned much about an open communication and still have a few miles to go. Let’s see what idea Tina has for Eric and the situation at the studio. And how Bette will react to it.

Yes, indeed. In my mind there are so many steamy, loving scenes for bathtubs. In reality….not so many. More like flooding of the bathroom, slipping in the tub etc. ;-p
I love the way Bette and Tina describe the old way of settling disagreements to their new way settling disagreements. I particularly like that they describe themselves as “overgrown toddler” and a “childish tantrums”. And the the fact that both were to bent, bound and determined to punish the other without taking into consideration of the facts. And with all that drama, they ended up working longer hours so they didn’t have to be with each other. It’s no wonder they ended up splitting up and seeking comfort and attention somewhere else.
This is how you repair marriages and damaged relationships. You stop demanding. You stop yelling. You stop accusing and condemning. You start to listen and really hear what is being said. You talk in advance of a decision. You share your hopes, dreams, and fears. You praise and compliment your partner. You apologize and take responsibility for your mistakes and misdeeds. You look for compromise and win-win solutions where everyone benefits. You realize that shit happens and do the best you can with the situation. And sometime that shit is no ones fault and no one needs to be blamed or punished for. Life is too short to take significant portions of your life in a disagreement.
I love the art work. I love that Tina knows Bette so well that she knows what her facial expression mean when she is looking at art. She sees her emotions. That is love…..
