“The strangest thing…” Bette repeated, “is this where you finally confess to not putting your earring in properly… twice?” She smirked, then giggled when Tina’s foot tickled her. She grabbed Tina’s toes to hold them still, her strong fingers again massaging.
Tina moved a little closer towards Bette, resting her arms on the side of the tub as she adjusted her legs to fit over Bette’s. “Not that…” she spoke quietly. “You came up behind me and asked me what I thought of the picture I was looking at and I could feel you close to me, smell your perfume. It made my head spin. For a second I had to physically resist the urge to kiss you… that’s when the strangest thing happened…”
Bette looked at Tina then glanced down where the bubbles had slid off her chest when she moved earlier. Her nipples were more visible, wet and hard. They danced in and out of the water as she moved to sip her wine and Bette could have sat there and watched them all day. Somehow, she managed to pull her eyes back up to meet Tina’s.
“The strangest thing you say… is this where you finally confess that you never did like that picture and that you were just trying to impress me?” Bette practically purred, her voice teasing as she moved slightly closer to Tina…under the water, her hands reached to rub her upper thighs to where they met her hips and back.
Tina laughed, “no… not that either Honey. I have that picture in my office as you know and every day, I look at it and think of you. It was the strangest thing, because I had never felt it before…” She moved even closer, her knees now sticking out on either side of Bette’s and she reached to gently move Bette’s hair out of her eyes. “Up until that moment I had never experienced such a powerful jolt of desire at the sight of someone, the feel of someone… it was like a spark when your breath hit the back of my neck, and it almost made me drop to my knees…I was instantly wet. Soaking wet by the time I sat down at the table. Eric never made me that wet…ever.”

I so agree with the other readers that You DEFINITELY have a wonderful way of explaining the word “intimacy”. I especially like how you’ve reminded us that it comes in levels and stages as our trust is released..

This comment cracked me up. I am finding it challenging writing the dialogue which is why you dont see me write multiple characters at once but I cant avoid it forever….
This is true intimacy….sharing of fears, dreams, memories and souls. This is really a hot chapter…..amazing that they made it through dinner… This is the Bette and Tina I imagined when the series finished 10 years ago. Actually this Bette and Tina are a bit more mature and closer in their relationship than they have ever been. Great writing….

this story answers so many questions that were left danglng in the show. B&T were really connected in season 6 and whewn B asked T to marry her we was like “Oh yeah baby, finally”!!!
Anyway, I loved that Bette confronted Tina how she (Tina) wasn’t trusting her to choose Tina over work. Bette really made monumental changes in how she approached her fears & insecurities. It was time for Tina to examine her responses too. And she did. She quickly apologised to Bette and sought forgiveness

Was just thinking about how marvelous it’s been to have your screenplay featuring our Tibette, and I’m really trying to imagine how you will fill in the blanks on Tina’s childhood. Will be interesting to learn whether or not Tee has siblings in your story and whether or not an Angelica is in the future.

Interesting idea Dumplin! I honestly didnt expect this story to go nine chapters but the words are still making their way to the page so I will keep writing. Tina is complicated, exploring her childhood and family might be a good segway to understanding her.
Out of curiousity, dont most stories on here have her with a sister?
Yes, so far Tina has had siblings. If I remember correctly, she had really cool sibs & fam in You Found Me by BnTinmyhead
