    S. O. (Esss Ohhh)

Two months previously, Tina and Scott had been brought on board to finish a film about a band of survivors in a dystopian future after the original director dropped out three-quarters of the way through. The director had been named amongst several high-profile Hollywood-types accused of sexual assault, and he’d left the project after the studio had asked him to. Scott hadn’t been Tina’s first choice to work with, but William, the studio owner, had insisted. He’d also insisted Tina drop her other projects until the difficult film, which had been cursed by various hiccups and delays, was done.

It had been war between Tina and Scott from the start – they’d clashed over almost everything, including Tina’s decision to literally wipe out one of pivotal characters from the scenes that had been shot already, after the actor had also been accused of sexual assault. Fearful of more negative press, William had gotten on board with Tina’s decision to scrub the actor from those scenes, along with Tina’s choice of another actor to take over the small but pivotal role. They’d needed to re-shoot all the scenes involving this character, however, and Rachel had been dispatched to scout out Montana locales. Shooting in Montana would keep the film under budget – another challenge William had given to Tina concerning this film. Scott had angled to re-shoot in the forests of Italy and Germany, where the scenes had been shot originally. But Tina had prevailed again, about shooting in Montana, and had done so without needing William to back her up, this time. The production was hemorrhaging money and Tina was determined to wrap things up in a more disciplined manner than had been the case before she was brought in.

Tina’s sharp answer to the man who’d whispered in her ear cut through the loud, excited chatter from the rest of the film crew occupying other tables around Tina’s table. Silence fell around this part of the café like a stone sinking in lake waters.

Ken, the man who’d whispered into Tina’s ear, and Scott’s hand-picked assistant director, blushed furiously. This wasn’t the first time he’d been used as a go-between by Scott with Tina, and it probably wasn’t going to be the last time this middle-school move would happen. Tina knew Scott was trying to wear her down with these stupid ploys, and Ken knew that she knew.

    1. Thanks for the chapter!
Great to see new part of the story.

And Tina – this is Bette! You just need to jump on her and Oh wait, you just almost did it:)

    2. Just had to say that I was so happy to see a new chapter to this story! Love your attention to detail and YES to more teasing from those two.

      Thanks for posting!

    3. So great to have a new chapter, thanks ever so much. Always wonderful to read about their love blossoming, and right now it is on a rampage. Yay!!!!! Tina will get all her stuff together, take care of her children and tell henry to go straight to hades and beyond. He is too much of a d–k to tell her he wants out, just not much of a man, his mother had already told her so. Tina should have listened to her and run like hell. I think he has already found someone to keep him warm at night, whether it is Stockholm or New York. Good riddance to him, he’s not worth piss. She needs Bette in her life for a love that is total and complete and when the children are there they will look like a truly complete family. Can hardly wait for all this to unfold. Thanks again for posting.

      • Speaking of Stockholm, for some reason, I thought you’d appreciate the following one liner from Ken Dodd (RIP):
“Just read a book about Stockholm Syndrome. It started off badly, but by the end I really liked it…”

        Side-splitting ????

Not picking on Swedish friends and readers out there, of course.

Thanks for commenting. Now let me get a pot for H to p*ss in, bec that’s all he deserves, right?

    4. Welcome back skydancer!

I missed you and your story!

They met and bonded immediatley, there was a instant connection.

Henry is a asshole and it wouldn’t surprise me if he is cheating around Tina’s back. Dump him and start a family with Bette.

It is clear that Lena is history as possible lover, but i do hope she will continue to be a friend for Bette.

Fantastic update, please don’t let us wait too long for the next chapter!

      • I hadn’t and i doubt about possibility of this.

That’s why i always be sceptical about IC version friendship between Bette and Alice in TLW and that Alice truly cared about B&T relationship.

    5. Hi Z, yes, it has been a long time. I’ve had the next few chapters in draft, but haven’t had time to finish them. Meanwhile, a few things happened IRL, so life sucked for a while, and I wasn’t writing anything. Then a new story wormed its way into my head, in a way I couldn’t ignore so I’ve been writing that one out. May post that sooner than the next chapter for this one, and I hope you’ll like it.

Take good care, in the meantime!

    6. Oh no, it’s been 3 1/2 years since the last entry. Please don’t tell me that COVID-19 impacted your writing.

I love this new/different story line!! When TJ arrives the intersection with Bette (Jay) will just add more and more to the story.

And, don’t forget the LA airport lounge conversation that Bette heard period to her departure. Another line of this great story!

      Please write/publish more, PLEASE!
