    Then, she smiles and I melt once again. I smile back and wrap my arms around her and pull her in against me.

    “It’s ok T. I’ve got you and I don’t plan on letting go.”

    She tilts her head up and whispers in my ear, “will you kiss me babe?”

    Sense #5:Taste
    Taste is the sensory impression of food or other substances on the tongue. It is the sensation produced when a substance in the mouth reacts chemically with taste receptor cells located on taste buds. The chemical substance responsible for the taste is freed in the mouth and comes into contact with a nerve cell. It activates the cell by changing specific proteins in the wall of the sensory cell. This change causes the sensory cell to transmit messenger substances, which in turn activate further nerve cells. These nerve cells then pass information for a particular perception of flavor on to the brain.

    Like I said, up to this moment we had been very reserved in the physical aspect of our budding relationship. I have done my absolute best to be patient and chivalrous and let her lead in her own timing. So far we managed a few innocent hugs, lots of hand holding, chaste kisses, and then last night’s introduction of “sleeping” together.

    I pull back and come face to face with her once again. I’m guessing by the way she’s looking at me that she’s expecting this to be anything but chaste! I raise my brows as if to say ‘are you sure?‘She gives a silent nod.

    I cup her cheeks gently with my palms and start to lean in. Everything is happening in slow motion. I’m trying desperately to calm the pounding in my chest and the ringing in my ears. I have been dreaming of this moment for 2 months. Our lips brush against each other barely touching. I want more. She wants more. I can feel the rising in her chest. I know she wants this as much as I do. I push in. After our lips have agreed to the merger, I glide my tongue slowly over her bottom lip requesting access. Access granted.
