    She will be loved

Bette surrendered to those hazel eyes, as she usually did, still hesitant if she should say anything about what was going on in her mind at that particular moment.

”T… really… I’m ok… I’m sorry if I seem… a bit gone… I just have a lot in my mind right now” Bette silently begged for Tina to let it go.

”Bette… I’ve been speaking non stop about my relationship fiasco with stupid  Brian… and you have been listening to half of it” Tina began her explanation.

”T… I’m sorry if” But the brunette was quickly interrupted.

”I’m not mad Bette… that’s not what I’m saying… I just want to know what’s  going on with you… because I made you come all the way here to listen to my stupid problems… when clearly you have some of your own… so I think it’s only fair I listen to you now” Tina concluded with a shy and tender smile.

Bette mentally tapped herself in the head for she felt trapped. Of course then she had to do the talking since the blonde had left her with no other choice.

”Is it Alice?” Tina asked trying her best to be a good friend, but deep within, frankly fearing the answer to that question.

Bette was taken by surprise. The brunette wasn’t really expecting Tina to ask such a question out of the blue. Especially since in the last couple of months Tina actually never, not even once, had asked about Alice. But then again, it wasn’t weird for Bette to be taken aback by Tina and her capacity to read like a freaking book.

”It could be Alice…” Bette muttered, almost defeated.

Tina felt her stomach become a knot. She had indeed satiated her curiosity, yet she was becoming very much aware, and very fast, that perhaps she was not ready for the answer.

”I mean… I love Alice” Bette added as she realized she had to be more specific.

”You love Alice?” Tina interrupted her brunette friend as she felt how her stomach contracted again, adding another layer of strength to that knot.

    ”Yeah… I…”

”Wow…” Tina simply muttered, like in a trance.

    1. Well, for me always ever thinking about that Bette and Alice from TLW were in relationship seems very strange. How?:)
Yeah, in your story they both complete different people, but still a big NO.

      • Boy do I agree with you!!! Alice blew up a really strong friendship by pressuring Dana to be her lover.

And before Dana, I felt like her big conquest was to show everybody that she could be with “the” unattainable lithario Bette Porter. Alice loved being a “kiss & tell” partner while we KNOW Bette hated that!!

    2. So young Bette and Tina are opening up a bit more to one another. Both with emerging feelings but too afraid to even think about what that means. Baby steps. Bette is better off being friends with Alice. If Alice will accept that. Enjoying this story.

    3. As Bette and Tina mature both individually and through friendship, each are learning trust and how to put words to their feelings. Hopefully, as they mature further, they can act on their feelings about each other. Life is like a lemon drop. You have to suck on the bitter to get to the sweet.

Great job. This story makes me anxious.

    4. I’m glad that Bette sees Alice as a friend and that her relationship with Alice is not what she wants in a relationship. But she really does need to get Tina into a conversation in which she can discuss her feelings for her. They need to get away from the dorm life for a few hours and just enjoy each other’s company and begin a conversation. They have had the perfect introductory conversation for such with Tina breaking up with Brian and Bette’s confession that Alice is a good friend and not relationship material. They need to be together in a place where they won’t be interrupted by friends stopping by to say hello. I don’t know what the weather is, but if appropriate a picnic or go to a restaurant in town away from campus for a long lunch. But Bette needs to end the relationship with Alice first… She’s already on that path – just do it Bette.

I like this story….. please post as soon as you can.

    5. I hope that Bette won’t fu** up the chance that Tina gives them both by finally admitting her feeling. Come on Bette, say it! After all those years time to tell the truth, tell her that you love her. Julia doesn’t seem like a nice person anyway.

I like the combination of back flashes and scences from the present. Please post more soon!
