    She will be loved

”No… no… I mean… I love Alice… but I don’t think I’m in love with Al… and I…  well I don’t know what to do” Bette exhaled a huge amount of air she wasn’t aware she was holding. Her feelings weren’t a particularly easy subject for her to approach with anyone, not even Shane, let alone Tina.

”Oh… I see… I’m so sorry Bette… I’ve been bitching about my problems and…  clearly you have big ones as well…” Tina said with total honesty in both her voice and eyes, and yet inexplicably, a part of her felt a very large amount of relief.

”T, really it’s ok… I just… I guess I don’t wanna hurt her… she doesn’t deserve it and… I feel so guilty… so, so guilty…” Bette looked extremely sad after that last admission, which instantly made Tina’s heart shrink.

”Look Bette, the way I see it… at some point you are gonna have to talk to her, because the more you wait… the more you’ll hurt her in the end, especially if she realizes that your feelings are not in the right place” The blonde spoke her mind, giving her friend her best and most unbiased advice.

”I know… you are right… I just don’t wanna lose her you know… she’s special and she deserves to be loved and protected… and I feel like… even though I would love to… I just cannot give her that…” The sadness in the brunette´s eyes was something quite difficult not to see.

”I’m sorry to hear that Bette, I really am… relationships can be so difficult…” Tina commented extremely pensive, unintentionally revealing how convinced of her words she actually was. Fortunately for her Bette was too absorbed by her reality at that moment to notice.

”I know… and that’s the thing… I have absolutely no freaking idea of what to expect out of a relationship… but I somehow do know that this is not… that it doesn’t…” The brunette made a brief pause searching for the right words.

”Complete you?” Tina once more interrupted Bette, staring intensely into those amazingly beautiful brown pools.

”At some point you are gonna have to stop reading my mind” Bette smiled to Tina, again completely blind at what was clearly pouring out of the blonde´s eyes.

    1. Well, for me always ever thinking about that Bette and Alice from TLW were in relationship seems very strange. How?:)
Yeah, in your story they both complete different people, but still a big NO.

      • Boy do I agree with you!!! Alice blew up a really strong friendship by pressuring Dana to be her lover.

And before Dana, I felt like her big conquest was to show everybody that she could be with “the” unattainable lithario Bette Porter. Alice loved being a “kiss & tell” partner while we KNOW Bette hated that!!

    2. So young Bette and Tina are opening up a bit more to one another. Both with emerging feelings but too afraid to even think about what that means. Baby steps. Bette is better off being friends with Alice. If Alice will accept that. Enjoying this story.

    3. As Bette and Tina mature both individually and through friendship, each are learning trust and how to put words to their feelings. Hopefully, as they mature further, they can act on their feelings about each other. Life is like a lemon drop. You have to suck on the bitter to get to the sweet.

Great job. This story makes me anxious.

    4. I’m glad that Bette sees Alice as a friend and that her relationship with Alice is not what she wants in a relationship. But she really does need to get Tina into a conversation in which she can discuss her feelings for her. They need to get away from the dorm life for a few hours and just enjoy each other’s company and begin a conversation. They have had the perfect introductory conversation for such with Tina breaking up with Brian and Bette’s confession that Alice is a good friend and not relationship material. They need to be together in a place where they won’t be interrupted by friends stopping by to say hello. I don’t know what the weather is, but if appropriate a picnic or go to a restaurant in town away from campus for a long lunch. But Bette needs to end the relationship with Alice first… She’s already on that path – just do it Bette.

I like this story….. please post as soon as you can.

    5. I hope that Bette won’t fu** up the chance that Tina gives them both by finally admitting her feeling. Come on Bette, say it! After all those years time to tell the truth, tell her that you love her. Julia doesn’t seem like a nice person anyway.

I like the combination of back flashes and scences from the present. Please post more soon!
