Brenda: “we’ll see…, I’m sending this to all the emails I know from her and send a text message”

The blue Lexus exited Massachusetts Turnpike riding toward Grove St. where Tina’s house is located; most of the houses along the street were very big, some of them were farmhouse style and others had a huge back and front yard. Tina’s house was from this last type, the garage was detached from the rest of the construction; she planned to build an annex where she could use as a private mini-lab to do some experiments, but for now she had a little secret space in the main house for that purpose; the security system in the house was almost futuristic, indeed there was no way someone could get inside.

Now the girls were scared, the van was following them at close distance and the houses on this road are well separated from each other, hard to find help if they were attacked.

Brenda: “they are close…, hell, Tina which is your house?”

Kate: “what are we going to do? Can you call the police?”

Brenda: “okay…”

But it was too late, the van speeded up and passed them crossing on the road blocking their way, six men got off and walked toward them.

Brenda: “don’t open the door”

One of the men, Walter, pulled a gun from his pocket and other was carrying a thick stick, they approached the car.

Walter: “open the door”

Door and window were locked but Kate knew what the man wanted, she was terrified and paralyzed.

Brenda: “nooo…”

Walter: “do it…”

The man with the stick hit the car’s window, smashing it. The men opened the door and took both women by force, they cried but two other criminals gagged them. Both scientists were taken inside the van, which started and quickly disappeared in the direction of the Massachusetts Turnpike, leaving the blue Lexus with the broken glass on the road.

Hartford, Ct, same day 10:30 am

Tasha: “stay there, Bette, I’ll see what’s out”

Tasha’s words were muffled by a clangorous noise outside the house, it was a garbage truck with the rear damaged just pulled away from the scene; Tasha made a sign with her hand calling Bette, both girls looked through the window seeing the shattered car of the officer.
