Melvin: “… although to work hard and learn many things will lead us to attain success and many achievements, family, and friends will be always the most important thing in our lives, I want to thanks for the beautiful woman who brought hope and happiness to my life, my beloved Maxine; for the three beautiful and smart children that fill my life with joy and pride, Kit, Bette and Marcus, for the beautiful smart and kind young girl who understands and makes my Bette happy, her girlfriend Tina…, Bette, I’m a simple and humble man, I don’t understand science and technology, I have no doubt you have learned many wonderful things in your beloved MIT, but honestly, daughter, I think the best you got from that university is Tina…, money, knowledge, fame come and go, but real love as you two have for each other is very hard to find”
There was silence and Tina’s eyes were glassy; Bette was astonished, she and her father were far of each other for many years, in all aspects spiritual and physical, they don’t even talked by phone and the brunette didn’t even know her father knew she has a girlfriend before she arrived to Philadelphia; but Melvin could easily read both of them, she and Tina, and realized the deep love they already profess for each other.
Next day Tina called her mother to let her know they will arrive on Sunday to Boston, because Bette’s car broke and has to be repaired, Mani knew Bette didn’t have the money and told her daughter to pay the bill, but on Saturday when they went to pick up de car, the owner of the workshop told them the bill was already paid, Bette asked and no one answered her who made the payment.
On Friday Marcus and Kit took the young couple to visit some historic markers around Philadelphia and in the evening all the family plus Tina went to visit the Franklin Square holiday festival displaying an electrical spectacle and show of lights. Next day in the morning during breakfast, Maxine invited Tina and her mother for Christmas and New Year.
One month later Bette and Tina were back to the Porter’s along with Mani, who went with them under one condition, to drive to Philadelphia in one of her best cars; they brought with them some gifts and food to be prepared there in the Porter’s house, Kit gave her bedroom to Mani and went to sleep to her studio in the third floor with her siblings and Tina. That was a memorable holiday, both families together to celebrate love, friendship, and hopes, for the joy of Bette and Tina.

Yup, you’re totally right, I was thinking to write more of the wedding, too, I even have partially written the wedding vows, but it was going to be too long and I needed to reach the scene of Tasha and Alice; besides sometimes I put much attention to some general comments and PMs, and I didn’t want to have a rating R or 17, this time.
But “the night is young” and who knows what will happen in the next chapters that will have the wedding night in the beginning.
For my next wedding (I mean TIBETTE’s wedding) I’ll write more in detail.

My lovely wife allowed me to read your update!
I am so glad Bette &Tina are married and that Tina’s mom was there. But i am still a little worried how Tina is going to react when she finds out Bette was in contact with Louise. She will be pissed of.
Alice & Tasha, hmm, i loved them together in the L Word. But i think Tasha gets her heart broken when Alice &Dana will be reunited.
Mr. Kennard get what he deserve and i hope this will be only the beginning.
