    Tina: “she thinks you hate her…”

    Melvin: “Nooo…, I love her…, but how to tell her, if she doesn’t like me, how to talk to her about things I don’t know”

    Tina: “Mr. Porter, why don’t you talk to her, she is miserable because she thinks you don’t love her”

    Melvin: (sighing) “but I love her…, yes, you’re right…, I need to talk with her…”

    After Tina left Melvin’s studio, she found Bette looking for her, but they couldn’t talk, because her father wanted to talk with her.

    Bette: “do you want to talk to me?”

    Melvin: “yes, please take a seat…”

    Bette: “hmm…, must have been very bad what I did”

    Melvin: “no, you did nothing wrong…, I asked you to come here to listen to what I have to tell you…, look Bette, when you were born I was the happiest man in the world, because you were so alike my mother and you were the blends of me and the love of my life…, when you grew, all I wanted for you was your happiness and to help you to achieve it…, but I made a mistake…, I wanted you to be like me, a musician…, because it was the only way I knew…, how could I guide you and help you if I didn’t know anything about science…, I didn’t even finish high school…, my family was poor and I had to work since very young to help at home…, I’m an ignorant, Bette…,  the only thing I know is music…, I’m sorry, baby if I made your life miserable… I’m very sorry…”

    At this point, Melvin was already sobbing and Bette was crying too, she knew all the hard work her father did, trying to give them everything he could; she loves her father, and always wanted to please him, but she felt that she was a failure in his point of view.

    Bette: (hugging her dad) “daddy, I love you, I thought you were ashamed of me, and you didn’t love me because I didn’t choose to be a musician”     

    That Thanksgiving dinner, was unforgettable, for the first time in years, Melvin and Bette sit together side by side and when dinner finished Melvin talk about how proud he was of all his children and congratulate Bette for her academic achievements and then he talks

        Yup, you’re totally right, I was thinking to write more of the wedding, too, I even have partially written the wedding vows, but it was going to be too long and I needed to reach the scene of Tasha and Alice; besides sometimes I put much attention to some general comments and PMs, and I didn’t want to have a rating R or 17, this time.

        But “the night is young” and who knows what will happen in the next chapters that will have the wedding night in the beginning.

        For my next wedding (I mean TIBETTE’s wedding) I’ll write more in detail.

      My lovely wife allowed me to read your update!

      I am so glad Bette &Tina are married and that Tina’s mom was there. But i am still a little worried how Tina is going to react when she finds out Bette was in contact with Louise. She will be pissed of.

      Alice & Tasha, hmm, i loved them together in the L Word. But i think Tasha gets her heart broken when Alice &Dana will be reunited.

      Mr. Kennard get what he deserve and i hope this will be only the beginning.

        Yes, Alice has to think about many things, who knows how Dana comes back (if she comes back, which I hope so)

        And you’re again right, this is the beginning for Don Kennard, but remember there is nothing worse than a wounded beast.
