    Maura: “wait, wait…, Louise, you are talking as if everything was already determined, and that’s not true, the police can catch that maniac, and you and your family will be free…, you have a team that can protect you and them, why are you so negative?”

    Louise: “Maura…, I think you don’t understand…, that man is not alone, there are others who enjoy the fruit of his illicit human trafficking and other illegal business and in exchange, they protect and enrich him, those are abominable people, they are not many, but they are powerful…, honestly, Maura, I don’t think our legal system could jail him…, some people had tried before, other officers had fail…, some had even died pursuing the network of those criminals…”

    Maura: “you mean…, those police officers… they were murdered?”

    Louise: “yes…, they were, but there is no way to prove it was Don Kennard; though it was clear for everybody, as in the case of Marcus, Bette’s brother, we know Don Kennard was behind his murder, even, some people heard the conversations and comments after the crime, but, you know…, not even your wife could prove it, I know she made a report when she interrogates some witness and she filed those testimonies to some judge, and with her bosses, but nothing has been done, because the  judges as well as the other authorities, all of them fear my uncle’s network, they don’t want to sign a search warrant and detention, they are frightened, and the police has no proof; the worse is that their witness, the poor Coleman had to hide from them, and his cousin Josh is also in the run…”

        Yes, I’m going step by step, but I have made the commitment to getting well.
        I have also made a commitment with myself of never leave a story unfinished, so I will finish this (as painful it is for me) before I post the new one.
