Side Effects Chapter 6 – ADDING FUEL TO THE FIRE

Tina: (sighing and shivering) “Bette…, I think, we have to talk…, I have something to tell you”

Bette: “of course Tina…, do you want us to talk now?”

Tina: “no…, not now…, could we talk tomorrow night…, well if you want to take me out for a ride”

Bette: “of course I want…, but, this time, can I come to pick you up to your apartment, well maybe Shane and I will pick you and Carmen, we’ll drop them at the beach and then, we could talk”

    Tina: “fine…, thanks, Bette”

And now Bette is waiting for Tina, she is nervous, she really has fallen in love with that girl; she had asked herself ‘why in the whole world, I came to fall for Tina Kennard?’ why, having so many girls running after her, calling her up, leaving text messages, emails, cards, even love letters, but no…, none of them are what Bette wants, only this complicated girl, this hard to get Tina Kennard.

Shane: “Bette, are we keeping waiting or are we going to get them?”

    Bette: “did you call Carmen?”

Shane: “yup, she is ready but Tina is still in her room”

    Bette: “… let’s go…”

At Tina’s apartment, Shane and Carmen waited in the living room while Bette knocked Tina’s door

Tina: “hey…, sorry I was already dressed but I was thinking of our conversation”

Bette: “you don’t have second thoughts, right?”

Tina: “no…, and even if I had them…, I have to tell you…”

The girls drove to the beach where they dropped Shane and Carmen and they went to park at another spot around the beach; the situation was tense for both of them, Tina was shaking and Bette shyly took her hand.

Bette: “take your time… and if you prefer we could talk another day”

Tina: “no, Bette, I need to tell you this now or I’m going to implode and hold my peace forever”

Bette: “okay…, but I want you to take into account that I won’t judge you and I won’t change my feelings for you…”

    Tina: “we’ll see…, Bette…, well…, during my childhood, I knew I like girls since I had six…..”

Tina told Bette all her family history, including the disowning of her father by her grandfather and her subsequent  death, the lesbian relationship of her aunt and the recurrent visit of her obnoxious uncle, and how that man was after her sister and of course the sad and horrible events that happened, that day, in her hometown; she told her, how the police jailed her uncle, how he bribed some officers to run away, and how they, her mother, her sister and her, were persecuted even in Houston, by her uncle’s thugs; forcing her mother to send her sister with her aunt’s family to a secret location where her uncle couldn’t find her; all the time Tina was shaking as she told the story, while Bette started to understand all Tina’s fears and distresses, she felt angry knowing what her friend had had to go through, and sad for the blonde’s family and the separation of her sister.

    1. Hey Proteonomics,

      Fantastic update!

Thank you for the warning for page 7.

Keeping secrets to protect the woman or friends you love is hard and i feel sorry for both of them.

I hope they are able to save Dana, Carmen and all the others. Donovan and the other man are very creepy and sick man. I hope they torture and castrate them.

      Thank you for the update!

      • Hi, Bibi:

Thank you for your comment, yes this chapter is a little hard, I put here what I didn’t write in chapter 2, but I think it’s important to show the whole picture.

I agree with you, secrets are difficult to keep especially if they involve loved ones.

Unfortunately, more people will be abducted, let see what our friends would be able to do about that.

        I’ll try to post ASAP.

Thank you again for reading and commenting.

    2. HI Proteonomics,

Amazing update, although it’s really heart breaking,
Tina and Bette won’t be a classic couple unless facing all odds, feeling so sad for Tina about the trauma.

Bette’s computer abilities were really useful, hope that Dana and most of the girls can get rid off this catastrophe as soon as possible.

Can’t wait for next chapter, thank you for the astonishing story!

      • Hi, Laurel:

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on this chapter. It was also hard for me to write it.

Yes, Bette’s and Tina’s relationship has been shadowed by the wickedness of Tina’s vicious uncle, whose obsessiveness is growing as a snowball that is destroying many other innocent people.

I also hope Dana and all the other victims who still alive could be cure from the ‘poison’ injected into their bodies.

Thanks again for your comment, I’ll try to post soon

    3. Hi P

Thanks for this, really enjoyed it but need next Chapter as soon as please.

Love the story but my old brain means I have to keep going back to refresh my Memory. It’s not a great problem as I pick up new things each time I read.
