Boston, Ma, same day 1:50 pm

Maura is talking with Jane in her office before the meeting with a delegation from the FBI, about the encrypted files. She had a previous conversation with Bette, Tina, and James, and they agreed that this situation could place Coleman’s life at risk. The poor guy is already in problems with Imhotep’s owner. And, after all, he only wanted to help Tina and James with their case.

Maura: “Jane, I don’t think we should mention Coleman”

Jane: “we can’t hide information”

Maura: “we are not hiding anything…, Coleman didn’t know what was in those files, he just gave Tina a link, she is the one who found the files and along with Bette, found the information; look, baby, they could kill Coleman”

Jane moved her hands to her head and then to her face, she sighed and walked around her desk, what to do? Maura is right, Coleman could be in danger. If the FBI had information about his participation in the discovering of the nefarious plans for kidnapping people, they could call him for interrogation, and the bad guys could hurt him. For Jane there was only a possibility, let the things happen.

The conference room of the Boston Police Department is crowded. The whole consultant team is sitting around the table, Vince is also there along with three other FBI agents all of them expert in encoding and encryption.

Jane: “ladies and gentlemen, we have a problem; two scientists have been kidnapped during the National Meeting of Natural Science at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, one of the offenders was capture but he is badly injured; and the worst is that we could probably have avoided it if we had the information that one of you got yesterday, I was notified by the FBI that the three agents here present, have been delegated to work in the encrypted files that have that information; as I don’t want to show partiality, in this case, they will, openly, ask questions to the consultants who are involved in the incident”

Tina and Bette looked at each other and then to James and the three of them toward Maura.

Jane: “any question…? Well, I leave agent Brown to make questions”
