Side Effects Chapter 7 – TAKEN

Carmen: “yes…, what may I do for you?”
Alex: (pulling her identification from her bag) “I’m Alexandra Cabot, I work for the district attorney office and I need to have a few words with you”
Carmen’s phone ringed but she didn’t answer.
Carmen: “is there something wrong?”
Alex: “this is why I’m here, you have done nothing wrong, but you may be in danger”
Carmen: “what is this about?”
Alex: “come with me”
Alex took Carmen to a room on the second floor with a view to the parking lot in the front of the building
Alex: “have you heard about the kidnapping of members of the LGBT community?”
Carmen: “yes…, but that is in New England”
Alex: “well it’s about to extend to New York”
Carmen: (frightened) “how could?”
Alex: “we received information that they’ve planned to take someone in this event, and we believe they are after you”
Carmen: (scared) “me…? Why me? There is no reason”
Alex: “they may have their reasons, but don’t worry, I’m here to help, please stay here until the danger is gone”
Carmen: “is it only you…? Where is the police?”
Alex: “they are downstairs; we may have another victim, just wait here”
Carmen: “what about Shane, they can take her?”
Alex: “apparently they are only interested in you”
In the meantime, Shane had received the call from Tina warning her of the danger, and the thin brunet started desperately looking for Carmen, Marina volunteer to help her. Jenny has just seen Kelly, so she told Marina to go ahead with Shane and she will find a table for all of them, in the lunch room in the other building. Once Marina left with Shane, Jenny walked toward Kelly asking her to talk outside, they both left the building toward the parking lot.
In the crystal palace building, close to an emergency exit door, Henry was calling to his people.
Henry: “Walter, have you seen any of them”
Walter: “yes, we are lucky, they both are together we’ll proceed to take them”
For Henry, it was weird, though not impossible to have the two girls together for the kidnapping event, he didn’t think there was anything wrong. It didn’t even past 10 minutes when a huge commotion agitated the people outside. A big crowd entered the building looking for shelter. A burst of shots was heard coming from someplace outside, around the parking lot. Henry carefully approached one of the glass walls to see Walter’s van speeding up and two bloody bodies on the floor. He went outside with most of the people to see in the ground a wounded cop and one of Walter’s men hardly moving and crying in pain.

Hi proteonomics,
You kept your promise and a long chapter too! Thank you for the update. I know you are very busy.
It is a fantastic story, a story line i never read about before.
I feel so sorry for for all those girls and men who are abducted just because of a mad man who is crazy as hell and hates the LGBT community and thinks he can change them.
The secrets between Bette and Tina makes me sad, it harms and hurt them. But Bette is only protecting Tina.
Looking forward to the next chapter!
Hi Bibi:
Thank you, for your comment, all my stories are unusual…, you know, I’m crazy.
Things in this story may get harder but hope our wonderful couple and their friends could solve the situation and help the affected ones, and destroy the bad guys.
I’ll try to post more frequently, seriously, I’ll try it.
Thanks for reading and commenting.
