    “We’ll need to check flights but I was thinking maybe getting there early on Christmas Eve.”

    “That would be perfect. How do you want to handle meeting Kit? She was planning to come to the house for breakfast on Christmas morning so she can open presents with Angie. We usually have kind of an open house on Christmas day. Everyone just drops in and we exchange gifts. I don’t know if it’s such a good idea for you two to meet for the first time with a house full of people.”

    “No I wouldn’t want that. Let me make the flight arrangements then I’ll email you.”

    “We’ll figure something out.”

    “Thanks Auntie. So what are you doing for your birthday?”

    “Not sure. Tina has something planned but she still hasn’t told me what we’re doing. I guess I’m getting a taste of my own medicine.”

    “It sure looks that way. I can’t believe some of the stuff you’ve pulled with your acts of love and kindness. I told Gina about them and now she wants me to do stuff like that. You’re going to get me in trouble if I can’t keep up with you.”

    “Just do what comes from the heart David. She’ll love you for it. I can’t wait to meet her.”

    “Yeah. She’s looking forward to meeting you too. Well I’ll let you go so you can start your birthday celebration. Look for my email in a couple of days OK?”

    “OK. Bye Sweetie. I love you.”

    “Bye Auntie. I love you too.”

    Getting the phone call from David was a wonderful birthday surprise and even better that he was finally ready to see his mother. Bette went out to the kitchen and found Tina and Angie had prepared her a birthday breakfast. They gave her birthday cards and presents and had her blow candles on her pancakes. She gave them both hugs and kisses. Once Angie was out of earshot Bette told Tina about her phone call with David.

      It has so many wonderful and emotional parts, like Lady sovjet already said, it brought tears in my eyes.

      I am looking forward to the sequel and i love that Peggy Peabody will have a larger role in it.

You had every emotion possible that a person or family could experience and all surrounded by love. FANTASTIC. Can hardly wait for the sequel to see Bette and family and see Peggy express her love for Bette and her family and to see just how Peggy helps Bette rise to greater heights and importance in the worlds of Art and Business.
