“Babe. That is so awesome. I’m so glad he’s finally come around. He is missing so much not knowing what an incredible mom he has and Kit is missing out on a wonderful son and daughter in law. Think about when they have kids. They should know their grand-mother.”
“I know. I really hope they can work it out during this visit. So what’s on the agenda today?”
“You are the only thing on my agenda today.” Tina sits on Bette’s lap and kisses her deeply.
“Happy Birthday baby! You just relax and let me take control today OK? You can go hang out with your daughter while I clean up. We’ll need to be ready to leave here at 12:00 noon.”
“Will you at least tell me how I should dress?”
“I’ll already laid clothes out for you.”
“Did I turn 3 or 43 today?”
“Don’t be a smart-ass. How many times have you made decisions for what I should wear without consulting me? Just be patient and play along. I promise I’ll make it worth your while.” Tina kisses her again for emphasis.
Bette pouts but sees she’s not going to get anything more from Tina so she goes to find Angie. She knows she’ll get her daughter to talk, but Tina anticipates it.
“Hey don’t bother to torture Angie. You won’t get anything out of her. She doesn’t know anything.”

The stretch limo pulled up to the house at exactly 12:00 Noon. Bette and Angie are dressed in clothes Tina has laid out for them and they both look fabulous. The outfit she’d selected for Bette was a new dressy pant suit that was another of her birthday gifts.
Bette accessorized with the hand-made custom jewelry that Angie had brought for her at the Arts and Crafts Festival a few months before. Tina had deliberately purchased an outfit that would go well with the jewelry so she could wear Angie’s gift.
Bette was surprised to see the limo but she’d sort of gotten used to them using Monica’s car service for a lot of occasions so that didn’t give her any clue. When Monica came around and opened the door for them she wished Bette a happy birthday.

It has so many wonderful and emotional parts, like Lady sovjet already said, it brought tears in my eyes.

You had every emotion possible that a person or family could experience and all surrounded by love. FANTASTIC. Can hardly wait for the sequel to see Bette and family and see Peggy express her love for Bette and her family and to see just how Peggy helps Bette rise to greater heights and importance in the worlds of Art and Business.
