    SOMETHING SO RIGHT

    Chapter 82

    ———————————–

Tina took in the woman’s expensive Gucci shoes, the crisp suit and the set of pearls that hung round her neck. She was also wearing sunglasses.

“You have lost us “ Bette replied looking at Tina

“I have found you Elizabeth “

“How do you know my name ?” Bette felt her stomach churn

The woman removed her glasses and looked at her

“Because you are my daughter “

    ———————————-

Tina felt physically sick – her concern was totally on Bette. The brunette had spoken several times about how she felt about losing her mother when she was so young. It had left long term emotional scars. Tina instinctively dropped her hand and touched Bette’s

    “I don’t have a mother “ Bette replied

    “I am your mother “

“You have me mixed up with someone else. Excuse me “

“You birthday is 18 November, you are 31 years old – your grandmother Porter used to call you Little Liz. “

Bette was shaking – Tina squeezed Bette’s hand

    “Its okay B “

    “I don’t have a mother “

Her mother moved closer “I gave birth to you – I would know you anywhere. I know you “

“You left me when I was four years old – you don’t know the first thing about me “

“I know you are my baby “

Bette shook her head “ No”

For the first time the woman regarded Tina – she saw a blonde who was dressed as casually as Bette. She could see the concern in her eyes and it was obvious that they were more than friends

“I am not here to cause trouble Bette – I am here to make amends – to talk to you “

    Bette shook her head again

“After 27 years why suddenly make an appearance now ? What the hell do you want ?”

“Could I come in ? I don’t think you want to discuss our family business in public “

Bette looked to Tina for the first time – Bette looked scared and very confused. Tina nodded almost imperceptibly.

    1. Great Update!!! I love the twist you have put to this story. Now let us see if Melvin will tell Bette the truth. I hope Bette gives her mother a chance. Thank you Ally PPVS

    2. So Melvin’s a big fat liar huh? I’m interested to see why her mom stayed away so long. I like Tina standing up for Bette. Great story! Thanks for posting!

    3. I know Bette is pisssed, well probably more than pissed at her mom but I think she should at least listen to what she has to say. If Melvin has been untruthful to her all these years what makes her think he will tell her everything now? I don’t think her mom is trying to buy her affection how could she after 27 years. Speak to her mom and see what she has to say about why she left without her all those years ago and then talk to her dad and see if any of the story matches. Most mothers will not leave thier children unless something horribl ecauses them to. I hope Bette gets all her answers she deserves it and I’m glad Tina is right there by her side. PPS

    4. Nice twist girl. I think that Bette should talk to her mother to see exactly what she has to say. She has listen to Melvin all of her life and this way she will be comming from a position of strength and knowledge when she speaks to Melvin. At least her mother is adcepting of her and Tina as a couple. PPS:o).

    5. I would like to hear the reason Bette’s mother for abandoning her. Must be big if she schose to stayed away all those years. Is she sick? :D And the trust fund ha….curious…LOL

    6. Melvin’s ass is minced meat. I hope B lays into him. I hope Bette talks to her mother and finds out what really happened. Tina is one tough cookie, taking no shit from Mrs. P. Great update. PPS. I’m loving it.

    7. Holy cow, now this twist takes the story down a whole new avenue. I like the intrigue that you have introduced to this Ally. Can’t wait for the next addition!

    8. Ally, you are such a wild genius. This is such a superb twist. I love the way you make Bette and Tina dig deeper into their lives together. Thank you for giving us so much to chew on!
