Tina gazed out over the car park and looked at the shimmering buildings all around her.

“I loved it. Everything was so new and just amazing. It was everything that you and Dana had told me it was and even more if that was possible. I have never felt more alive as I did when Bette and I were dating and then when we went to Hawaii and moved to the next level and everything after that. I was on a high that was unsurpassable. What I was afraid of was that what I was feeling was because it was so new. Maybe that held me back for a while. I don’t think there was a single moment when the penny just dropped. It did just start to dawn on me that I was feeling the way I was about Bette not only because she was a woman but because she was THE woman for me. Honestly I don’t think there was one single thing that convinced me. But if I did have to pinpoint a time in my life – it was probably when she came to the farm for the first time. That was weird and there was so much damn drama going on with my mom and Bette was so out of her comfort zone “
