    “I mean, no one finds their soul mate when they’re 10 years old right?”

    Before Bette and Tina could fully make it out of the beach, the rain began to fall. Thunder roared loudly, scaring both girls to say the least as they screamed while looking for shelter from the massive downpour. As they ran, Bette spotted an old abandoned shed off the road and she tugged Tina’s arm toward it.

    "Over here!"

    The girls quickly got inside, closing the old wooden door behind them and began to shiver from the harsh cool wind of the storm. They were soaked from head to toe, their shorts and t-shirts clung to their bodies.

    Bette walked over to one of the cracks of parted wood and peeked outside at the storm.

    "Man, it’s really bad outside. If I’m late for dinner again my dad is gonna kill me"

    Tina had her arms wrapped around herself as she nodded in response. She was shaking so bad, her teeth were chattering.

    "Y-yeah . . m-mine . . t-too"

    Bette turned and gave a concerned look to her cold friend, "Are you okay?"

    Tina suffered from Anemia so she got cold easier than Bette did. She gave the brunette a soft smile, her lips trembling slightly.

    "Y-yeah . . just a little c-cold"

    Bette gave her a sad smile and walked over to her friend, her arms outstretched.

    "Come here"

    Tina walked forward and easily fell into the comfort of her best friend’s arms. For some reason, Tina only truly felt safe in Bette’s arms though she would never really understand why. Maybe some things are just plain unexplainable.
    She sighed happily at the warm body heat she received from Bette despite her wet clothes. They hugged each other in silence for a while, Bette rubbing Tina’s back which was both warming her and confusing her. She pulled back a bit and looked up at her slightly taller friend.

    "What are you doing?"

    "Friction" Bette said simply "It’ll warm you up faster"

    Tina nodded pensively, impressed with how smart Bette was as always. She and Bette were the same age but the brunette acted more maturely at times than Tina did, she also knew more about things that Tina had absolutely no clue about.

    13. Not sure if I’ve commented on one of your stories before – but I have been reading and enjoying! Had to comment on this one because I was excited to see that someone else also thought that this movie/story would be made even better by replacing B&T as the main characters…I confess that there are several of my favorite movies that I want to do that with, shhhh ;) Anyway, thx for this and I’m definitely looking forward to see how your Sweet Home B&T unfolds!! PPVS

    16. so cute! sweet home is one of my favorites. i agree the story line fits with b&t perfectly as the main characters. i can already imagine the banter between them. wonder if you’re goin’ to incorporate the cat with the scorched tail in your version. lol, loved that part.
