    Chapter 10

     

    Today was a slow day for Bette and she was very grateful for it. She did have to get up at an ungodly hour, but she was used to that. They needed to shoot a scene at dawn which meant getting up at 4 a.m. but which also meant she would be done when it was no longer dawn. And since it was their last day at this location, the rest of the day would be spent by transferring all of the equipment to the next location. Not Bette’s job, luckily, so the rest of her day would be spent doing a photo shoot, two interviews and then she had some quality time planned with her friends. It had been over two weeks since she’d seen her friends and Bette had missed them, even Alice, although she would sooner die than admit that.

     

    Bette really didn’t like photo shoots. She always felt incredibly stupid posing in front of a camera, so she wasn’t looking forward to this one. Bette had, however, decided that nothing could ruin her good mood today. Well, the little piece of silver in her purse had decided that for her. When she got to the photo shoot, she was a little nervous because she was working with a new and relatively unknown photographer. That was usually a recipe for disaster, but not this time. The photographer turned out so be very artsy and genuinely interested in taking some beautiful photographs. It was a nice change from the usual horn dog she got when working with someone new, shouting at her to ‘give them ssssssexy’ in some fake French accent. She really liked this one too and made a mental note to tell her assistant James that she wanted to work with this Jenny Schecter again.

     

    Bette had about half an hour left after the shoot, so she and Jenny went to get some coffee and Jenny showed Bette some of her work.

     

    "This is really amazing, Jenny!" Bette told the dreamy girl and she really meant it. The only ones she didn’t like were the creepy carnival photographs. ‘What’s up with that?’ Bette wondered.

     

    Then it was time for her interviews. Bette Porter and interviews were not really compatible. Bette hated talking about herself and she had no intention of letting the whole world know her private life. The interviewers naturally didn’t see eye to eye with her, which meant that Bette had to tell each and every one of them over and over again that she would only be talking about the movie she was promoting. It was very tiresome. However, when even the interviewers where working with her today, Bette knew the universe was trying to tell her something. ‘That earring is like a good luck charm.’ Bette still hadn’t decided what to do with it. ‘I could go drop it off at Tina’s apartment, but what if Eric is there?’ That would certainly be awkward. ‘I should probably just call her. And why the hell am I nervous to call someone? I feel like a teenager with a crush. Oh shit, I better hurry or it’s gonna be crushed teenager.’ Alice would make her buy France for her or something like that if she was late again.

That 3rd page is really fascinating, isn’t it? ;) Sorry to fuck up your reading by deleting the story and reposting it again, but the comment to your comment in this window didn’t work out either – one big sentence with about 500 words is not pleasant to look at.     4. And I thought I was the only one dreaming of the blond haired angel and the dark haired goddess. Those are some wild dreams that keep invading my sleep. I am glad that you can not go cold turkey on Fan Fiction writing. Just who do those professors think they are by making you take exams. Did you explain to them that you have fans who need to read your stories to brighten up their days? They should be ashamed of themselves for making your life miserable. I really do enjoy this story and only hope that you do well on your exams so that you can enlighten us with the ladies’ lives. (IC really has no clue how to enjoy her life, because she screwed the ladies’ lives up so badly).
