    “Changed it how?”

“She wouldn’t let me ask her about that tonight. She told me she would discuss it in detail with both of us later. I just know that Helena has been disinherited.”

“Babe. Have you thought about the implications of this?”

    “What do you mean?”

“Well depending on what is in her will, if you take this offer you might very well have replaced Helena Peabody as the heir to the Peabody fortune. Helena almost destroyed you over jealousy because her mother loves you; can you imagine what extremes she will go to when she finds out that you have totally replaced her in Peggy’s heart. That Peggy finally has the daughter she has always wanted Helena to be?”

“I really hadn’t given Helena much thought. I’ll talk to Peggy about her when we meet tomorrow. I will not put myself or my family in danger for anything in this world baby, and neither would Peggy. I’m sure she’s thought this through and has taken precautions.”

“Babe this is really great for you, and I can tell how excited you are at the prospect, but things are going so well for us. The kids are really bonding and getting to know each other. Angie and Peggy are building a great relationship. I just don’t want anything spoiling our happiness. We’ve waited too long and worked too hard to get to this place in our lives and in our relationships.”

“I totally agree. If I never see Helena Peabody again it will be too soon, but I guess it’s inevitable as we get more integrated into the Peabody family. She’s going to be released from prison eventually and we are going to have to deal with her.

The next morning Peggy’s driver Samuel arrives at the Kennard-Porter home with Wilson and Jang Yin. He picked up Tina and Angie and drove them all to the center. Samuel has strict orders from Peggy to be available to Tina and the kids to take them wherever they need to go.

Bette and Tina agree to meet at Santa Monica Pier at 6:30pm with Peggy and the kids. Angie and Bette had already started talking trash about the bumper car competition earlier that morning at breakfast. Tina just stayed out of it.

    1. Okay, so Helena is in prison and may get out in two years. Peggy still has not told Bette and Tina exactly what is in the will but has intimated that they will get a significant portion of her estate. Of course Winnie will probably get a significant portion as well. So how will Helena support herself? I’m sure she has no job skills and with a criminal record, she is going to find employment difficult. The way she has treated people in the past, its going to be difficult for her to develop any kind of permanent relationship. Helena’s life is not going to be easy in the future. Of course, there is always a chance that Helena will see the error of her ways and change her life. But I do not see this with this Helena.

This is the first time Angie has been in a situation where she was not the oldest child nor was she the center of attention. And it appears that at the center, she and Wilson and Jang Yin were all put in separate groups. So Angie did not carry the roll of leader of pack. This is a new experience for her and I wonder how she will respond to it. Hopefully she will respond positively.

Love how Bette and Peggy interact together. I just hope that Peggy will take some time to interact with Tina on her own as well. Although Peggy has a favorable impression of Tina, she needs to know Tina and see the qualities she brings to the relationship with Bette and to forge her own relationship with Tina as an individual.

Now, I cannot believe that Bette is going to give up on being the bumper car champion. Bette really is maturing in a responsible parent. Sometime you win more if you just let it go and acknowledge you cannot win them all.

Love this story….. keep the chapters comming….

    2. Thanks for the post.

Please don’t let Bette and Peggy sideline Tina.
Happy to know where Helena is and await her Story,
