    Tina read the note again and smiled. She flashed back to one of their status calls when Bill said the partnership was as good as hers if she wrapped the movie up in seven months. Tina remembered telling Bill if she wrapped it up in six, he’d better be ready to up the bonus they’d discussed. Lots of zeroes Tina had said.

    Tina shook her head and rolled her eyes. Bill was a dick most of the time but he also had a big heart and was a man of his word…most of the time.

    Tina flipped to the offer page and her mouth dropped open. Not only did the Studio increase her signing bonus significantly but they also fattened the partnership by 25%. Tina stared at the numbers in disbelief. It all finally registered in her brain and she squealed as she twirled in her trailer. She grabbed her phone, went to her favorites in her contacts and stopped before she clicked Babe.

    Tina bit her lower lip and rolled her eyes. Calling Bette was not an option. She was going to keep her promise and not communicate with her until after KiKi’s opening. Bette had said she wanted to forgive her. Tina didn’t want to give Bette any reason to rethink that possibility. She didn’t say she forgave her. She said she wanted to forgive her and that was a big fucking difference.

    Tina read over the offer page again and smiled. She sent her lawyer a quick text saying she would scan the contract and email it to them tomorrow.

    Tina: Please read over it with a fine tooth comb. I want to make sure there aren’t any crazy loopholes. I especially need clarification that I will not be on location for weeks/months at a time. That is a deal breaker.

    1. What a difference a phone call can make…. great chapter. Glad to see Tina is a little more patient and in control with respect to Bette. Too bad she did wait and get the complete story from Tom but at least she got Rose Touché’ to come in as quickly as she did. Rose will be a very nice asset for her. I am a little worried about Tina’s future relationship with Bill and her future traveling commitments for the studio. For some reason, I just cannot see the studio giving Tina a “one and done” assignment where she is on scene for months at a time pulling the production through to meet budget and to meet schedule. When someone recues a project, they suddenly become the go to person for all similar situations.

      Nice chapter… glad to see you back… cannot wait to see what happens at Kiki’s show.

      • Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Tina is doing her best to be patient with Bette. Tina’s relationship with the studio is going to be an interesting one. I have some ideas of how that’s going to play out but we will see. The key for them is to keep talking. So, if she does have to leave, it won’t be as a shock.

        There will be fireworks at KiKi’s show. LOL!

      U’re so frickin’ exceptional at weaving “memories” into your stories. Just like Bette had to snap out of the “massage” memory, we find U have to sharply mention our names as we melt into your story.

      Julia: “What do you mean?”
      Tina: “My director just informed me that he has to leave for a few days . . . . .
      Julia: “Okay. And where does the charging come in?”
      Tina: “I fired him on the spot and told him to get off my fucking set”.
      And Julia: “. I see. That might have been a bit rash.” Ya think????!!!!!
