    Author Notes: Hey everyone, I'm so excited to share the updated version of my story with you I've rewritten and expanded it, adding Tina's POV to give you a deeper look into their journey and I hope you love it too I'd love to know what you think.
    Summary:
    Bette and Tina’s love story began with sparks and endless excitement. They built a life together, filled with dreams of a future, but over time, cracks began to form. Now, standing on the brink of divorce, they must decide whether their relationship can be mended or if it’s beyond repair. Can they overcome the pain and past mistakes, or is it time to let go for good? Their journey is one of healing, forgiveness, and the search for hope in the face of uncertainty. I hope you enjoy following their journey and the emotional twists that come with it.

    Angelica, rubbing her eyes and, slides into her seat, her usual morning grumpiness showing.

    Angelica (groggily, with a little pout): No oatmeal… I want pancakes

    Tina chuckles softly as she sits next to her, brushing a few messy strands of blonde hair from Angelica’s face.

    Tina (gently): I know, sweetie, but today we have oatmeal with extra honey, just for you. Remember, honey makes it extra yummy.

    Angelica lets out a little groan but picks up her spoon, barely tasting the oatmeal as she gives Tina a tiny pout.

    Angelica (whining): I don’t like honey…

    Tina chuckles, rubbing her daughter’s back lovingly.

    Tina: You’ll like it today, I promise. Just give it a chance. After breakfast, we’ll get you ready for daycare.

    As Angelica takes another reluctant bite, Bradley, still playing with his cereal, suddenly looks up at Tina with a question on his mind.

    Bradley (sweetly): Mom, when are we going back to our home? I miss Mama.

    Tina freezes, her heart breaking at the words, though he doesn’t say it out loud, she can hear the longing in his voice. She keeps her expression calm, not letting him see the ache in her heart.

    Tina (softly): I know, sweetie, but this is our home for now. Mama’s house… it’s complicated right now.

    Bradley doesn’t press further, but his face falls a little. Tina sighs inwardly, wishing things were different, wishing she could make it all better for him, but she knows it’s not that simple.

    Angelica, hearing the mention of ”Mama,” looks up, her curiosity piqued.

    Angelica (in her sweet, innocent voice, with a slight tilt of her head): Mama? She come here?

    Tina smiles softly, not wanting to lie but unsure of what to say.

    Tina (gently): Not today, sweetie. But we’ll see Mama soon. I promise.

    Angelica seems satisfied with that, and Tina watches her happily continue eating, thankful for her simple trust in her.

    As Tina watches her two children, she can’t help but feel a mixture of love and longing. The house is quieter without Bette, but these moments with her kids, no matter how small, are everything she needs right now. They are her world, and despite the uncertainty, Tina is determined to give them the best of what she can. The day moves forward, the routine steady and familiar, offering comfort in its predictability.

    1. A great start to this story! I’m hooked already. I really like the part where Bette addressed the judge and then Tina spoke directly to her. And the part where Bette whispers to herself that she’ll bring them back together.

    3. Oh dear, I just found your story today. Great start, well it’s sad, but I think Bette will do everything she can to win Tina back. What’s with the name Bradley Knox..What’s with the difference in the last name if these are Bette’s children? Please continue this story. Can’t wait for a new chapter. WE WANT MORE…FAST, FAST,FASTER. Lol

As for the last name his full name is Bradley Knox Porter. He’s the son of both Bette Porter and Tina Kennard.     10. This is a great story! Nice job!
      I must tell you, accidentally I stumbled on this one on another website and there this first chapter is much much longer, with Tina’s POV. Can you fix that, for other readers here, please?

        I’m really glad you’re enjoying the story and yes the longer version with Tina’s POV was part of an extended draft I shared elsewhere. I’ll definitely update it here too so everyone can get the full experience from both perspectives.
