    Author Notes: Hey everyone, I'm so excited to share the updated version of my story with you I've rewritten and expanded it, adding Tina's POV to give you a deeper look into their journey and I hope you love it too I'd love to know what you think.
    Summary:
    Bette and Tina’s love story began with sparks and endless excitement. They built a life together, filled with dreams of a future, but over time, cracks began to form. Now, standing on the brink of divorce, they must decide whether their relationship can be mended or if it’s beyond repair. Can they overcome the pain and past mistakes, or is it time to let go for good? Their journey is one of healing, forgiveness, and the search for hope in the face of uncertainty. I hope you enjoy following their journey and the emotional twists that come with it.

    Angelica (her eyes wide with excitement, can hardly contain herself): I go down the biiiiig slide, Mommy It soooooo high, and I be super fast.

    She rushes through her words, barely taking a breath, her hands fluttering as if she’s already climbing the slide.

    Angelica: I slide down like whoooooosh! I hav sooo fun

    Her grin spreads from ear to ear, her enthusiasm bubbling over.

    Angelica (looking up at Tina with her big, round eyes): Mommy, Is Mama coming to pick us up today?

    Tina’s heart twinges at the mention of Bette. She pauses for a moment, the question pulling at her in ways she doesn’t want to acknowledge. She forces a smile, the familiar ache rising in her chest.

    No, sweetie. Mama’s very busy today. But Kit will be there to pick you up, okay?

    Angelica seems satisfied with the answer, her face lighting up as she nods enthusiastically. Bradley, too, accepts the response, though Tina notices the lingering look in their eyes whenever Bette is mentioned. It’s a longing she feels deeply, and her heart tightens as she watches them, knowing how hard it must be for them too.

    As they finish getting their coats on, Tina helps Angelica with her shoes, Bradley is already tying his shoes with his usual care, his concentration so serious that Tina can’t help but smile.

    Just as the last of the jackets are zipped up, Kit steps into the room. Her voice is gentle but filled with concern.

    Kit (her expression soft yet thoughtful): Tina, Can I talk to you for a second?

    Tina turns, glancing at Kit as she finishes zipping up Angelica’s coat. Kit watches them for a moment, her eyes filled with unspoken understanding. Tina knows her sister in law well enough to see the concern etched on her face.

    Kit (quietly): Are you sure this is what you want? I know things have been tough, but you and Bette… you’ve been through so much together. Are you sure about walking away?

    Tina’s heart lurches, and she looks down, blinking away the tears that threaten to form. She pauses, the weight of Kit’s words sinking in, but she knows she has to be honest.

    Tina (steadily, her voice tinged with emotion): Kit, I’ve thought about it. I’ve thought about it a lot. I can’t keep pretending everything is fine when it’s not. I need to put the kids first now. Bette… Bette has her own journey to figure out, and I can’t wait anymore.

    1. A great start to this story! I’m hooked already. I really like the part where Bette addressed the judge and then Tina spoke directly to her. And the part where Bette whispers to herself that she’ll bring them back together.

    3. Oh dear, I just found your story today. Great start, well it’s sad, but I think Bette will do everything she can to win Tina back. What’s with the name Bradley Knox..What’s with the difference in the last name if these are Bette’s children? Please continue this story. Can’t wait for a new chapter. WE WANT MORE…FAST, FAST,FASTER. As for the last name his full name is Bradley Knox Porter. He’s the son of both Bette Porter and Tina Kennard.       I must tell you, accidentally I stumbled on this one on another website and there this first chapter is much much longer, with Tina’s POV. Can you fix that, for other readers here, please?

        I’m really glad you’re enjoying the story and yes the longer version with Tina’s POV was part of an extended draft I shared elsewhere. I’ll definitely update it here too so everyone can get the full experience from both perspectives.
