    The Date

Bette: Alice, I’m not letting you anywhere near my wardrobe.

Alice: (laughing) Fine, fine. But just so you know, if you screw this up, I’m taking Tina out for coffee myself. She seems like good people.

Bette: (rolling her eyes) Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Alice: (smirking) Always here to help. Now, go win her over, Porter. But, you know, in a non-Bette Porter player way.

Alice stands up, finishing her coffee and heading toward the door. Before she leaves, she glances back, her tone slightly more serious.

Alice: For what it’s worth, I think it’s cool. You deserve someone who makes you feel like this. Just don’t screw it up, okay?

    Bette: (smiling softly) I won’t.

Alice gives her a mock salute and heads out, leaving Bette alone with her thoughts. Bette leans back in her chair, a small smile playing on her lips as she picks up her phone and starts typing a text to Tina.

Text to Tina: Hey. Just wanted to say I’m looking forward to Friday. Have a good day.

She hesitates for a moment before hitting send. When the message delivers, she leans back with a contented sigh, her mind already on the upcoming date.

    The Most Awaited Friday Night

Bette stands in front of the mirror, fastening the last button on her crisp white silk shirt. Her black trousers fit her perfectly, tailored and sharp, paired with polished brown boots. She adjusts her cuffs, glancing at her reflection. Her usual confident smirk creeps onto her lips, but there’s a flicker of nervousness in her eyes.

Alice lounges on her bed, observing her like a coach before a big game.

Alice: Alright, Porter. You look like you stepped out of a GQ spread. Now remember, this is not a courtroom. No debates, no arguing just charm her socks off.

Bette: (rolling her eyes) Thanks for the pep talk, Alice.

Alice: Hey, you’re welcome. Just don’t blow it. And remember, if it goes south, Shane and I are at the bar across the street for emergency backup.

    Bette: (smirking) Noted.

Bette grabs her coat, takes one last look in the mirror, and heads out the door, a sense of anticipation buzzing around her.

    Tina’s Dorm Room

Tina zips up her blue dress, simple yet elegant, the fabric hugging her in all the right places. She glances at herself in the mirror, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. Her friend and roommate, Lara, watches from the desk, her chin propped in her hand.
