    The Extra Room

Tina remembered seeing Bette’s face when her bags came off the carousel duct taped. It was the perfect picture of disgust. Tina decided in that moment what to get her for her birthday the following month. She was actually grateful to the airline because Tina had no idea what she was going to get Bette. It was also coming up on their 1-year anniversary and it was the first birthday they would be spending together as a couple. Tina wanted to make it special.

“Tee?” Bette paused waiting for an answer.

    Silence.

“Teeee?” Bette said again a little louder.

    Silence.

    “Teeeee? Where are you?”

    Silence.

“I know you’re here. Your car is in the driveway,” Bette yelled with a giggle.

Tina waited for Bette to notice the signs. She had strategically placed clues throughout the house sending Bette on a scavenger hunt to find her birthday present. Tina remembered Bette telling her later that night when they were curled up in each other how overwhelmed she was with gratitude because no one had ever done anything that special for her before. Tina heard Bette enter the bedroom after she’d figured out the last clue. Tina was holding her breath in the perfect hiding spot to witness Bette’s reaction.

Bette opened the bedroom door and stopped in the entranceway. Her mouth dropped and her eyes were bigger than normal when she saw what was waiting for her. Tina watched Bette walk slowly towards the bed where she found six pieces of Samsonite luggage of varying sizes with bows on them. Tina found it very erotic to spy on her lover. She was getting wetter by the second as she observed Bette gliding her long, beautiful fingers across the larger one with an odd expression on her face…across between awe, love and excitement.

“Do you like them?” Tina asked shyly.

Bette didn’t move or say anything at first. Then she looked over her shoulder to find Tina standing behind her, naked, holding a pink rose. Bette slowly turned around with her mouth opened wide. She smiled as she took all of Tina in, devouring her with her eyes. Tina blushed.

“Like them? Tee…they are magnificent. I love the color.”

    “It’s merlot,” Tina said quickly.

“My favorite. The color and the drink.” Bette chuckled.

    Comments

    1. Bette is too upset to eat even though there is plenty of food for both of them. This is going to be hard on both of them. Bette needs to at least be gracious enough to join her in her meals when she is at the apartment. Then relax and do the normal things she came on the trip for – work on the exhibit and get things done. Both Bette and Tina are now in the over-thinking phase. Just let things go…. deal with what is for a day or so. Concentrate on a “no drama stay”. Talk when you are ready….

      Thanks for the chapter…

      • They are both dealing with a lot of feelings. And it’s going to be a journey. This chapter was meant to highlight their emotions. And as you can see, they are both all over the place. Tina is trying to give Bette her space. Hopefully, she continues to honor that. And Bette is trying to figure out which is bigger.

    2. Tina is in a sexual frenzy. Get a grip woman. Bette is so hurt she can’t even eat dinner. Oh yes, Kiki and Alice this is a great plan! Not often that I read and shake my head at the same time. What to do? What to do? Really like this story.

    3. What a mess they are both in, so many feelings that Bette couldn’t even eat.

I really hope they can work it out and Alice’s and Kiki’s plan work but i have a feeling it will backfire.

      Looking forward to read more!
