    “Well those plans have been altered. She’s not going to Europe. She’s going into rehab for her drinking problem. That’s what a friend would have offered; not shipping her off to Europe to get her out of your hair. I was sorry to hear about Kelly divorcing Matt though; another casualty of this debacle. I know Matt has been indulgent of Kelly’s extramarital activities for years but under the circumstances he couldn’t be expected to tolerate Kelly having an affair and using his money to support you. Even though they had an open marriage it must have been hard for him to accept that she’d fallen in love with someone else but I suppose it was bound to happen. Too bad she made such a huge mistake in thinking the feelings were reciprocated. I guess she and I are more alike than I realized. You really had us both fooled didn’t you Jodi. I bet you imagined yourself laughing all the way to the bank once this was over.”

    “It was your idea for us to become friends Tina. You practically threw us together. You wanted us to like each other.”

    “Yes I did Jodi. I’m glad that you did become such fast friends, but I trusted the both of you. Don’t think I didn’t notice how affectionate you two were. I just wouldn’t let myself believe that there was anything to it. Did you have any feelings for her at all Jodi? Did you ever think of what this would do to her … to me … to us … to my relationship with Kelly?”

    Jodi moved from the side chair across from Tina and came to kneel in front of her, taking hold of her hands. She’d never noticed the similarity before but Tina’s touch felt very much like Tabitha’s. She had to suppress thoughts of the beautiful blonde to concentrate on this monstrous face staring down at her. The left eye was droopy but the right one bored into hers with an intensity that made her nervous. Jodi broke the gaze. She was convinced that even if Tina pressed charges for attempted murder with the right defense attorney she could be acquitted and she hadn’t totally given up on Kelly. She had as much to lose as Jodi; all she had to do was remind her of that fact. In the meantime Jodi tried one last ditch effort at playing the ‘bleeding heart’ card with Tina.

    2. My God! I’m smiling like a damn fool at 1:05 am and my ass needs to be asleep cause I got to get up at 5 am for work. I was asleep but woke up several times to check for the post. FINALLY it was here and I just finished reading it! Tina gave a performance of a LIFE TIME! Tina Kennard wins the OSCAR for best actress! You go girl! You one bad ass BITCH! Babe In Total Control Herself!! Bette just topped it off by putting her arms around her. That was such a romantic moment! I had tears in my eyes at that moment! You are one AMAZING writer!     8. It was worth the wait. This chapter was fantastic! I loved that Tina was no longer a victim but victorious. All people should quit being the victim, but turn the tables on the abuser. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I hope there will be more chapters to this story, but it will be hard to beat this last chapter. No matter what, I do wish you the best in your writings and I hope that you are doing it as a career, you do have talents.
