    “I fought off the attack then I must have drifted onto a shallow river bank. I don’t know how long I was unconscious. When I woke up I found that I’d been dragged from the swamp by an old hermit. I was half dead, grotesque but alive. He took me to his home deep in the bush where no one ever ventured. I stayed with him until I healed and could walk again. He gave me his life savings in precious stones so I could leave and make my way home only I didn’t know where that was or who I was. The trauma left me with severe memory loss.”

    “If you have no memory of the accident how can you accuse us?” Jodi asked already thinking about her defense.

    “I had no memory until a few months ago; now it’s crystal clear. I took the stones from Dave and sold them for cash once I got to Queensland. Dave Wells that was the man’s name that found me. I took the money and I went to a clinic on Tahaa. You were right Jodi; it is a magnificent little piece of paradise. Too bad you and I didn’t have a chance to experience it together. Anyway there were a couple of brilliant doctors there; tops in their respective fields. One was a Psychiatrist. She helped me to remember who I am through hypnosis. Once I knew my name all I wanted was to come home. All I could think of was coming back to you and Kelly.

    I missed you both so much. I didn’t yet have full recollection of the accident but once I called Joyce to arrange for me to come home she filled me in and my memories came back. It was then that I learned the motive for the two of you wanting me out of the way. It all started to make sense to me then. I was devastated but I understood how it could have happened. After all it was my wish that you two would be good friends. I could forgive it if you’d turned to each other after the accident but to learn that the affair started long before … that I couldn’t forgive. So how long has this been going on … you two living together I mean?”

    2. My God! I’m smiling like a damn fool at 1:05 am and my ass needs to be asleep cause I got to get up at 5 am for work. I was asleep but woke up several times to check for the post. FINALLY it was here and I just finished reading it! Tina gave a performance of a LIFE TIME! Tina Kennard wins the OSCAR for best actress! You go girl! You one bad ass BITCH! Babe In Total Control Herself!! Bette just topped it off by putting her arms around her. That was such a romantic moment! I had tears in my eyes at that moment! You are one AMAZING writer!     8. It was worth the wait. This chapter was fantastic! I loved that Tina was no longer a victim but victorious. All people should quit being the victim, but turn the tables on the abuser. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I hope there will be more chapters to this story, but it will be hard to beat this last chapter. No matter what, I do wish you the best in your writings and I hope that you are doing it as a career, you do have talents.
