The Gathering – 01.98 – Like Me Now – Intro to the King Pt 5 – Meaning

“Yeah, Darci and Shelb are with her, they are about 10 minutes from us. Let’s hope that we don’t need them.” Amy said, looking over and seeing Sam driving like a woman possessed. This is what a mother did for her child, risked her life for them. Amy was in awe, how calm could they be right now, having their love ripped from them by a man who didn’t respect them.

“You are going to shot my father?” Jayden asked, as Jo held the gun in her right hand, she anchored herself in the seat and said in a voice that convinced Jayden that the FBI agent was going to do everything in her power to get Jesse away from him.

“If I have to.” She stated simply, and Jayden’s jaw clenched and unclenched, her anger working hard at her now.

“Aim for the head, the man doesn’t have a heart.” Lara spat, and she could see a small figure running in the distance, she felt her heart dropping from her chest.

“THERE!” Lara pointed and Amy reached up, steadying Jo as she pulled the car off the runway an onto the hard packed sand. Sam’s car following suit as they saw the same thing that Lara had seen, a three year old running for his life.

“Hang on ladies.” Ro said, yanking the hand brake and sending the car into a controlled skid, she was letting the other women go after the kid; she was going to make sure that plane didn’t leave the ground.

“*****!” Bette yelled, and Tina just whooped, loving the speed, she was enjoying herself; Bette thought Tina had lost her mind. What had gotten into her wife? She was enjoying this high speed chase through the California free way system, she was crazy.

“Ready for some action?” Ro asked, her voice deep and filled with that accent that made Tina forget that she was a lawyer and not a gang banger on some street corner where she use to do community work with Oscar.

“Let’s do it.” Tina said, making Bette’s eyes grow wide as the Latina headed right for the plane, barreling right into the hands of danger.
