“Tina !”
“I mean it ” she is hissing at me ” I am NOT going to be painted as the Scarlet Woman in this relationship – you want me as much as I want you. It’s a mutual thing between us – we are single and both lesbians – we have a sexual attraction and boy are we acting on that – -but its also about friendship and love and enjoying being together. “
She gives me a look of sheer need – this isn’t easy for her.
“I’m sorry Tina “
“Don’t be sorry – but I’m not going to have Shane giving me a hard time – you want this as much as I do. “
“I know that’s true – take it easy -please “
She shakes her head. “I just want to spend as much time as possible with you – I adore you “
“Excuse me Madam President “
“Yes Carmen ?” I look down at the gorgeous deputy Chief of Staff.
“Shane asked me to remind you about needing to have a word with Daniel Ridley at some point and he’s tried to catch your eye a couple of times already “
“No problems – thank you – I’ll talk to you later Tina”
“Certainly Madam President “
I allow myself to be lead away and I go into full politician mode trying to coax a leading Republican into coming on board for a bit of bi partisanship co-operation.
Its over twenty minutes before I spot Tina again – I move across to the table she is sitting at – I sit beside her desperate to touch her knee or anything that is a gesture of my feelings towards her.
“Are we okay ? ” I ask looking away from her.
“Yes – why wouldn’t we be ?”
“Because you’ve been distant all day “
“How can you say that ?”
“Because its true – since we made love first thing ..”
“You really think this is the place to do this conversation ?”
“No – but – I’m scared of losing you “
“You are not going to lose me “
“I sometimes feel you closing down – shutting me out “
“You promised me you wouldn’t rush things “
“True – but I need some reassurance “
She gets up and turns to face me.
“You want reassurance – what of ?”
“Ideally about the future but I’ll settle for knowing we’ll be sharing the same bed tonight “
“Well – ponder on this Madam President ” she leans closer so she can whisper in my ear.
“I’ve gone commando for you – so think about that while you are sitting with the President of Bulgaria “
She knows how perfectly she has timed that – the bell is sounded for dinner and everyone starts to move to the dinner hall. I lose sight of her as my detail clear a path for me. I am just approaching my table when I glance across to where she is standing – she puts her hand down so she is covering her crotch.

i have to say, much as i am enjoying this story, i really can’t stand how bette is so nasty to shane and her other staff, and tina has been nasty to alice and shane as well…not thinking too much of them at the moment… they are both too self-involved and involved with each other to think of being nice people to others

I’m getting bad vibes here. It almost seems like both of them are playing with fire. At any rate I agree with bandtfan in that Tina is awesome in this story. I’m guessing Afghanistan is what made her to be such a strong person.
OMFG!!! I love Tina in this story. She is such a strong woman. Going commando and telling Bette when she did was brilliant. Ally humour–Got to love it.

I love this Tina as well, she is strong, independent, assertive and agressive when need be. It’s great!! I also love the fact that Bette is not the player in this story. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Good for Shane, she is just looking sfter her friend after all. I hope Bette will understand that Shane’s intentions are good and grow out of a want to protect her feelings. Tina, what a tease…..commando huh??? Can’t wait to read your next chapter later today.
i guess it was tina who was with bette’sgirlfriend when she was killed.when bette finds out she is going to be so pissed at tina all hell is going to break off in the oval office. but tinaprobably didnt no she dating the president.
