“If you make a sound, I will break your neck less than a second.” The voice says, the person’s hand tightly grabs onto Bette, make her unable to breathe, not to mention make some noise.
“What are you doing here?” The angry voice says, Bette struggles very hard to breathe.
“I…I was just come out from Ms. Cooper’s room…and…and I’m…I’m lost.” Bette says with lack of oxygen, the voice she makes is barely auditable.
“Bullshit, I saw you peeking into some rooms.”
Bette’s head becomes lighter and dizzy, her vision is whirling, but right before she blackout, the light lights up the attacker’s face, the name hit her awake right on time.
“Shane? Shane McCutcheon? Please…I’m—”
“Damn right I am, and do you really think that I will forget your face? Huh? Bette Porter?” Shane McCutcheon, the tall brunette who used to be Tina’s best friend, says angrily but using the volume only Bette can hear.
“You must have a great nerve to come here, huh? What do you want to do now? Mocking us? Report us? Where’s your girlfriend Adele?”
“Can you…can you…” Bette is still struggling to catch her breath, but Shane makes no move, putting all her wronged during high school on Bette.
“Not before you answer my damn question, I won’t let go of your neck, and trust me, I won’t hesitate to kill you…”
Bette gulps, her lips are still pale for the Hypoxia.
Shane makes a loud hump.
“You’re lucky.” Shane says coldly. “If it were not her me will be dead by now.”
Never does Bette know, Shane has just spoken to Tina not too long ago. Tina severely warned Shane to take a close eye on her, making sure she won’t do anything stupid that disobey the rule, most importantly, not to kill Bette.
Even she is angry to Bette as hell, she still cannot lay her hand on her, Ms. Cooper’s order.
Just like what Tina expected, only took Bette a few minutes after she left Tina’s room, then she decided to make a small tour in the manor like shopping through the department store, which can make her get killed. One more dead body is nothing rare in this place, any person can die within a second only if they did something wrong. There is a line full of people who are waiting to join the Cooper industry, like the ballad the criminals have been singing during these years:

Hey guy, please don’t hate me about what happened last week, as you can see something is happening and Tina has to do something to protect Bette. Here is some spoiler…before they start their real conversation, a huge incident is going to happen, some of the hints will be in the story, well…if you can find it. XDD
Thank you for all your comment, I did really read it and I really really want to reply to you all! Just busy as hell, not complaining but sometimes the application affairs for the U.S graduate program can be really frustrating…XDD

Wonderful chapter, so, Tina has her own plan and her own group inside this criminal organization.
Does Tina know something else about Bette? I mean, besides what Bette told her.
Is Tina trying to make a coup or is she trying to break the organization? Is she sending Bette far away to protect her?

If Bette goes to HK, as Tina told to Shane, this could be Bette’s first mission, and Shane will go to HK too to protect her; so Tina will be staying without her main allied, isn’t it dangerous?

Ohh Bette, Bette – are you really police officer? Or maybe accountant your true role? Because you so physically and morale weak – nothing had change for 5 years. Bette still allow all other persons dominante ner – Adele, Tina, Shane, Jodie. How she can protect other persons like police officer, if she can’t protect herself?

And i forgot most important part – is Tina dying? From what ilness? Is she can be saved?

Bette is a detective, her brain is more functioning than her physical strength, she has her own way to protect Tina, just…have to survive till then.
Tina is not actually dying dying, I mentioned in the story, she needs to rest, but thanks for asking.

Bette needs to show she is a strong, mental and physically, woman, as a undercover she has to be carefull but she just lets everything happen,
Is her feelings of guilt that big that she wants to die?
Jodie is a horrible bitch, i hope she overdose on drugs.
Tina aka Justine, wonder what her plan is, if she has a illness that is going to kill her, i don’t think she is planning to take over the organisation but is going to blow it up. Maybe she is L.

I believe Bette’s brain function better than her body, she’s good at coming up ideas and observe, fighting is not her specialty, she is a detective before, only do more brain works. And if she’s really good at fighting, her fade id as an accountant will be exposed.
Jodi…Jodi…dislike her also, I’m also wondering why she hasn’t lost her brain activity.
Okay, spoiler again, Tina is not L, and definitely not Bette, so the suspect reduces two people.
As for Tina’s future…I believe you don’t want to know it now so I’ll just save it for myself. XDD
