Probably the first person who willing to speak to her, which made my jealousy rise just looked at their interaction, smiling, making a small laugh, chatting, sometimes even flirting… Jesus Christ, why am I so crazy about her? I’m supposed to be her enemy and hate her like others. Now, sitting in my spot in the cafeteria with the best view, looking at Tina and her first friend, how I wish I was in Shane’s position, sitting beside Tina Kennard and talk to her. Then I understood, I’m uncontrollably, hopelessly fall for Tina Kennard.
So far, my pride beat my feeling, I never walked to her, never told her my true feeling…if I knew there’re a huge set up coming later, I will certainly walk to her without any hesitation.
Two weeks later, Wentworth resident.
Adele coldly looks at Kelly, it’s unusual, normally Bette and Alice, the two important members of “The Golden Circle” will be here. But today their seats are absent.
“I told them not to come today cause my dad is coming home.” Adele says to the confusing Kelly.
“You knew that your dad is on a vacation, why you said that” Kelly frowns.
“The time is ticking, Kelly, we need to kick Tina Kennard out of this school, or the school will become hers.”
“So why don’t we ask Bette and Alice for help? With them, we can be so much stronger.”
Adele remains silence for a while, Kelly keeps her mouth shot without making a noise, it is never wise to disrupt Adele while she’s thinking.
“Bette is acting weird these days, don’t you think?” Adele dryly says.
“Really? I don’t know about that.” Kelly says. “Isn’t she always weird?”
“She’s avoiding my order these days, I told her to look close to Kennard, usually she would come out some brilliant idea and understood this person clearly a few days later, but this time, she came out nothing…and Alice, if Bette is not on our side, she couldn’t be trusted, she’s too close to Bette and her mouth is filthy big. It’s too risky to let her know our plan.”
“Who knows? Maybe Kennard is really hard to know?”
“I doubt that,” Adele shakes her head, she crosses her arm in front of her chest. “This girl is definitely hiding something, or she won’t be that mysterious, how come no one knows where she came from? It’s crazy, I’ve sent someone to check on her school record, except her birth date, weight and height some basic information, her background, her education record, her previous school…nothing.”
“Come on, she just thinks smart, she probably erased all her data just to be someone cool, doesn’t mean that she has the power to manipulate every student, I’ve made my investigation, she’s really poor and they don’t have much money.”
Adele holds up her hand, Kelly quickly shuts up. She looks Adele stand up, pacing on the expensive carpet in Kelly’s huge mansion.
Kelly smiles broadly and proudly.
“I knew you will ask, so I make some arrangement, you can thank me later.”
Kelly claps her hand, a man wearing a fancy suit walks out, he bows to two teenagers.
“I’m Angus, Wentworth’s private detective.”
“Why how thoughtful are you, Kelly.” Adele smiles.
“Yeah, I may be too nice so that Porter won’t like me…anyway, tell us what you’ve known.” Kelly rudely says. She snaps her finger then another servant pours some red wine in both of their glass.
“Yes, mam. The target Tina Kennard, she lives with her aunt, she’s a cleaner working in one of Wentworth property, as for Tina Kennard…”
“Wait, what about her family? She’s an orphan like Shane McCutcheon?”
“Not quite…” Angus pulls out a file and hands it to Adele, while Kelly keeps drinking her wine. “Her father is still alive, but they have been separated since she’s five, they don’t have any contact till today.”
“Interesting, what about her personal life?” Adele says, her eyes don’t bother to look at him.
“Everything is inside the file, please take a look.”
Adele flips through the papers, her smile grows bigger and bigger.
“Not so fast, Tina Kennard, looks like it’s round 3,” Adele drinks her wine. “I will let you understand how “The Golden Circle” really plays a game.”
