    Beach – a few later

     

    I finally found Shane at the beach, sitting in a foetal position. The sun is setting, this was our favourite spot, and we used to sit there all afternoon and watched the sunset.  I shake the images out of my head.  Anyways, I am just relieved to find her – alive.  She has been missing for six days, Alice called to ask if I had seen her.  She found out from Paige that Shay was taken away by Gabe almost a week ago.  Everyone is worried about her.

     

    I called Alice to let them know that she is alright and to call off the search.  

     

    She is rocking back and forth on the same spot, this reminds me of the time when Dana died.  She is broken and I cannot stand to see her in so much pain. 

     

    I didn’t know how to handle it last time and I am not sure if I know how to handle her now.  But I have to do something, it is heart trenching to see her torturing herself like this.

     

    I walk over slowly, not wanting to startle her.  I sit down next to her to know that she is not alone.  She seems to acknowledge my presence, so I stroke her hand gently.  Her head leans on my shoulder and I put my hand around her.  We sit there in silence.  I will give her time, for as long as she needs.

     

    “Dad took Shay away.”  She whispers in an inaudible voice.

     

    “I know.  We are all worried about you.  I am worried about you.”  I reply softly.

     

    “I love him so much.”

     

    “He knows that, he knows that you will be there for him, if the time comes again, right?”

     

    She nods.

     

    “You can always visit him. I will come with you too, if you want.” I offer.

    1. Thanks for posting ^^ The scene where Carmen sings was…weird…I have to admit that I laughed when I imagined that, but it was nice to see Carmen supporting Shane. I hope we don’t have to wait too long for your next chapter.

    3. Wow, the Shane/Paige/Gabe scene had my eyes popping out of their sockets ! Poor Paige. She’s been played in the nastiest of ways :( That man is an ass.

    4. Of course Carmen can sing!!!! She’s not just a pretty face. It was a nice post, i really enjoyed the two songs and the way everything is moving. It’s nice to see how they get closer and closer. PPS Loving every single word of it.

    5. I love that Carmen and Shane are so connected and in tune with each other emotionally that Carmen knows where to find Shane when she’s troubled and she also knows how to cheer her up… with love and sweet songs. Keep on writing. I think this is the real deal. PPS

    6. Ugh. I hate that Shane lost Shay. I like the way you had Carmen cheer her up though. Wow..Shane’s mom looking for her. That will be interesting.It was also an interesting development with Carmen’s step dad being abusive. Adds more to her character development. I like it.

    8. There’s so much going on it’s great!! I really hate Gabe, he is such a horible person. I love how Carmen and Shane can just be there for each other despite the fact that their relationship is really up in the air. It shows that no matter what the current circumstances are they truly care for each other…and that’s something to build a relationship on. I really hope that Shane’s mom coming into the picture is a good thing…I don’t think I could handle anymore heartbreak for Shane. Awesome job!!!
