The Roommates – Fast Forward to 2019: Chapter 5

Bette continued. “I’m not an idiot. Everything is so easy. I have this beautiful house. A fucking Jaguar in my driveway. I have my own art gallery. This is all just my mind playing tricks on me. Fuck this. I’m ready.”

Dana sat beside her. “Ready for what?”

“I’m ready to die. I don’t want to play anymore. If I’m dying, I’m just ready to fucking die. This is torture.”

Dana smiled. “You are so goddamned dramatic. You know that?”

Bette rolled her eyes. “Dana – – -,” she began.

Dana wrapped an arm around her friend and held her tightly. “Bette, you are not dying. You are not in a coma. This is not a dream. You are really living this. And you really did just randomly run into Tina on the street.”

Bette shook her head. “No, I know it’s not real.”

“I’ve been thinking about this. I thought maybe this might come up. And I have a way to prove to you that everything around you is real,” said Dana.

Bette’s shoulders were drooped, and she eyed her friend questioningly. “You do?”

Dana stood and started pacing. “Yes, I do.”

    “Okay, what is it?”

“Bette, how many times have you taken a shit in the past week?” asked Dana.

Bette was wiping the wetness from her cheeks and she stopped, staring at the tennis player. “What?!”

Dana stopped pacing. “Ask yourself, Bette, how many times have you taken a shit this past week?”

Bette smiled and shrugged. “I – – I don’t know. I’ve gone a lot of times. Sometimes twice a day. When I was in the hospital, they gave me all those fluids. I had diarrhea for like 2 days.”

Dana nodded. “Okay. Have you ever had a dream in which you took a shit?”

Bette stopped smiling and thought long and hard. She did have memories of many dreams. Dreams in both this reality and in her original reality. And in none of those dreams had she ever had a bowel movement. “I mean…sometimes I have to pee. But then I usually wake up having to pee,” she finally answered.

“But you’ve never had a straight up shit in a dream, right?”

    1. Now, I’m hooked into this story….Bette has yet to realize that getting Tina back is going to take more than a few phone calls. They are both into rather complex lives which will need to be unraveled before they can be together as they were in the previous lives I wonder what Alice thinks of this new Bette?.

    2. Thank you for the new update!

So, Bette has some her memories from this reality back, it’s good. But what strange that she still didn’t ask herself why Tina has different second name.

      Ok, waiting for the next!

    3. Hi MTS:

Wonderful chapter, more information for Bette’s brain, and I see that Tina is very eager to talk and interact with Bette, Maybe she is also the woman of her dreams.

So sad that Dana would, eventually, be gone.

Bette is definitely changing and adapting to her new life, and now with Tina at her side, she may find out why they change into a parallel reality.

Thank you for the chapter, and pps.

    4. Very interesting way to prove that Bette was not dreaming…LOL. Nice chapter, hopefully T + B can speak on the phone undisturbed – meaning, maybe there is no more Eric or anyone to distract Tina from the call.

    5. The whole Bette and Dana conversation about shitting in your dreams had me in stitches. I means tears rolling down my cheeks laughing. This chapter was fun to watch ultra Type A not have a control at all, watching her get irritated and frustrated ready to flop down to die from her mindfuck.

      Brilliant!
