The Roommates – Pride & Prejudice: Chapter 9

    “I can’t go another step, T.”

“Bette?” Tina asked, eyeing the vision before her quite carefully. Irritated passengers bustled about them, tossing the pair furrowed brows and frowning faces as silent pleas for the two to move out of the way.

    “I can’t move T. I haven’t seen you in so long.”

“Baby, we’re going right home. You can see me all night.”

Bette shook her head in response, her straightened ponytail swishing along with her movements. And then, something strange happened. Tina watched it all unfold and even though the events happened very quickly, the next few moments happened in slow motion.

A mysteriously sexy glow cast itself across her soft, dark-brown pools and Bette Porter focused a piercing gaze on Tina’s heart-shaped mouth. The taller, dark-haired woman absently licked her lips as her head tilted forward slightly and her stance slipped from relaxed into domineering. And the subtle change in the formation of her eyebrows, the left one cocked one millimeter higher than the right, was the final signal that Bette Porter was in pursuit of something she desired.

A powerful combination of need and possession took over her movements as she firmly tugged Tina towards her. And as if her lips were programmed to follow the will of Bette’s strong gaze, Tina’s painted, heart-shaped pillows came crashing into her lover’s full lips.

Their kiss was raw and simmering with need.

    It had been too long.

    Far too long.

Bette’s hands found themselves in Tina’s golden locks and the feel of her girlfriend’s hands on her ass only fueled the dark-haired woman’s need to caress every inch of her lover’s body. The lovers were pressed tightly together, even as the once angry onlookers shifted curious gazes to the two young women lip-locked in the middle of the baggage claim area.

Slender sun-browned fingers cradled the back of Tina’s head and held their lips firmly in place until the lack of oxygen forced the young lovers to separate. Again, their foreheads rested against one another as two chests rose and fell steadily, the lungs desperate for air, the lips still tingling and the other, more feminine body parts, now throbbing in eager anticipation.

    1. I have read all the chapters from start to finish. I know this was eleven years in the making. It was a very good story line however, your ending was rather abrupt and incomplete. Is Bette dying here? Or will she make a recovery and go on with her life with Tina? Although it appears to be serious it could be easily treated and just a bump in the weekend for Bette and Tina.

I appreciate your putting this chapter out. I very much would like to see the story continue to a more natural ending such as to wedding of Bette and Tina or to a break-up which they believe is where they want to be or where ever you believe the story will go. But to leave your reader at the entry of the hospital with Bette in a crisis mode and with Tina standing there seeing her lover in pain and agony? The end?

Your writing is very good. I hope you will do more and more often. Thank you for your efforts.

      • Martha, it’s the third part of Roommates. Like i understand it’s the end only of this part, but author wrote about that this story will continue in next part – “The Roommates – Fast Forward to 2019”
