”Yeah. Mama always buys them when they are green on the outside but when they have been sitting out for a long time and she opens one for me and just removes the bad spot”

”And that’s why Margie’s mama had one of her boobies removed. Because there was a bad spot there and for it not to spread and make everything else bad the doctors had to remove it” Bette explained and I was in awe of how she was explaining it so Angie could understand.

”Ohhhh. So Margie’s mama had a black cancer spot on her boobie?” Angie asked and Bette nodded. ”Will the boobie grow back?” Angie asked and Bette pulled her in for a hug.

”No sweetie. The boobie won’t grow back but the doctors can make her a new one”

Angie pulled back and smiled at Bette.

”A new boobie?. Ok then. That makes me happy. I won’t need duck tape then. Thank you Mama B” Angie said giving Bette a peck on the lips, crawling off her lap and went back to packing snow.

Bette touched her lips and I saw her eyes glisten. How could I have been so selfish to keep Angie from her? I hope when we talk tonight she will forgive me. We both have things to forgive each other for and I’m ready for us to do just that.

Angelica:

We had so much fun building the snowman. Mama B found some sticks to make the arms and a carrot for the nose. Mama found some black looking rocks and made eyes and a nose and I put my scarf around its neck. We haven’t found a hat for it but Mama said we would buy one tomorrow when we went to the park.

I am now crawling into bed after putting my Snoopy PJ’s on. After we finished I was yawning so Mama made me take a bath and I’m ready to sleep. Mama pulls the covers over me and kisses me on the forehead

”Mama. Can I say goodnight to Mama B please?” I ask her

”Sure sweetie. Let me go get her ok?..Goodnight baby” She answers and leaves out of the room.

I feel around the bed for my Hello Kitty doll and find it under the covers. I clutch it against my chest as Mama B walks to my bed and sits down.
